When someone asks you about the market, are you prepared to answer? Is your instinct to respond with negativity? Stop!๐Ÿ›‘ Here's what I suggest instead:

1. Stay positive. Explain that there are a lot of great opportunities if you have the right information.
2. Ask questions. If they are asking about the market, there is always a reason. Find out more and figure out how you can help.
3. Think about your next step. Follow up with an article or resource after your discussion. Always be thinking ahead about how to continue the conversation.

2. Say it aloud: the market will bounce back. Itโ€™s not a matter of if but when.

Listings are more important than ever, and yet I still talk to agents who don't do a thing before the Listing Appointment.

โœ… What if we started calling it a job interview instead of an appointment?
โœ… What if I put a check with a commission number in front of you and cashing it all depended on this meeting?

The secret is that closing gifts are not about the ๐Ÿค‘ spent! I like to say I wasted a lot of money on nice bottles of wine for people who didn't drink at the start of my career. I learned my lesson and decided to get creative.

The more you know your clients, the more creative you can get. It's not about the gift, it's about the experience of working with you.

You might call it old school, but I call it smart. You *need* the emotional reaction and that means picking up the phone.

Is it easier to text sometimes? Sure. But over text, a no is a no. Over the phone, you hear the hesitation. You can read the pauses and the tone of someone's voice.

A simple follow up call could make or break your next paycheck. Is that paycheck worth a few minutes of your time? Ask yourself that the next time you consider skipping a follow up or sending a quick text.
