Birds evolved from Theropod dinosaurs. It is now discovered that Theropod dinosaurs didn't just have bird-like features, but they even behaved in bird- like ways. The American paleontologist Mark Norell described a fossil found in China as " touching ". They found the fossil of a feathered dinosaur sleeping with its head tucked under its feathered forearm exactly as modern birds sleep. The animal, given the name Mei long, must have died while slumbering. (This is my clay model reconstruction based on the fossil picture )
