This is the Elementary Art Teachers' Art Project for Facebook this week.

Wednesday, April 22nd, is Earth Day. You can celebrate Earth Day by recycling and reusing. What better way to recycle and reuse than to create an art project! This week’s art challenge is to make a robot using recyclables.

You will need: cereal boxes, empty boxes, cardboard tubes, milk cartons, plastic lids, aluminum foil, scissors, markers, empty plastic containers, pop bottles, cans, egg cartons, other recyclables
You may want glue and different kinds of tape to attach things. It is helpful to open the end of the boxes, then glue and tape the flaps to your other box to make your robot sturdy.

What will your robot look like? What job will it do? What’s your robot’s name? Be creative!
