I was approached at the 2020 holiday bazaar by Jennifer Lafollette, who owns Royal Fly Fishing in West Linn, to create a custom project- a warm knit hat that could be used to accommodate a baseball cap underneath and a ponytail popping through the hole in the back, for chilly mornings out on the river fly fishing! The hat needed to have a hole in the back by the brim. Jen said that she hadn't been able to find anything like this anywhere! So, I made a prototype, Jen helped me with some adjustments, and we came up with this! The hat can be worn with or without a baseball cap underneath. Having a hole in the back/ bottom is nice so that you don't need to have a very high ponytail on top of your head. It's great for outdoor activities in the cold.

I have been making these ponytail cap warmers in different colors and it's been a blast. I LOVE custom projects!

New to the shop, wood block Santa ornaments! I have been wanting to paint more and this is a great excuse to make something special. This was a fun collab project with my husband, the Wonderful and Wubulous Mysterious Mister Reese. These Santas were hand carved by him and painted by me.

Deliciously soft and squishy, these bulky hats are the perfect cold weather accessory. Did you know that pom poms were added to Sailors hats so that they didn't bump their head on the ceiling of the ship when waters got rough? Who knows how true that is, but I love that these fluffy additions may have served as a protection element!

20% wool and 80% acrylic means added warmth AND washability! The pom pom is on am elastic that is attached to a button on the inside of the hat, so it is removable for washing if you wish.

I just updated my mask inventory on Etsy to reflect what I currently have. I had to raise my prices if you check out through Etsy to compensate for their fees, but they are still $10 if you contact me directly.

Also, I have added quick adjustment toggles to all masks! In my experience and with the feedback of others, they are much easier to use, but they are removable if you prefer to tie bows.

I LOVE hearing customer feedback! Jocelyn got her mask last week and has already taught me another way to tie the ties.

"I got it and I love it! I've developed a method of tying it that I really like. I tie the top two to each other and let that sit over my ears and then I loop one of the bottom two before tying. Keeps the mask on and sitting nicely around my chin. Plus no pull on my neck. It takes a bit longer to tie the ties, but I find that the mask is more comfortable to wear when I have more control over the fit."
