Port Tennant Colts Christmas Day out๐
As a club weโve had a busy summer, we finally got to pay our respects to a great man and founder of the club, Brin Bidder. We held a charity football match of veteran players and players from the current team, after which we headed back to the Mile End Inn to celebrate. We also held a charity night at the dockers in which we held a raffle and auction to raise money in Brins name as he himself was a massive advocate and fundraiser for the British Royal Legion.
In total between the 2 events we managed to raise a grand total of ยฃ4177. Tonight members of our committee got the chance and honour, alongside Brins wife Pam, Brins son and daughter-in-law Paul and Paula, to hand over the cheque to Freddie Edwards and his wife Dorothy, who were representing the Royal British Legion. A big thanks to everyone that contributed to both events and donated to help us raise the money, also thanks to James & Lisa at the Mile End Inn for their ongoing hospitality.

A massive thank you to James Williams for supplying us with the new kit for the season๐ข๐ข
This coming Saturday (20/8/2022) we have a charity memorial evening for our founder Brin Bidder.
This is event is ticket only!!. Please remember to bring your ticket on arrival. This event is NOT pay on the door.
If you do not have a ticket please do not try to gain entry as we have limited numbers due to fire regulations.
Also if you have purchased a ticket and you will not be attending please could you let us know ASAP as there is a high demand from people without tickets.
It would be a shame for the tickets to go to waste.
Many thanks
Port Tennant Colts.
What an amazing turn out yesterday for our first memorial game! 60+ current and past players taking part and many more watching on the sidelines!
Weโd like thank you to everyone who took part in the game, watched the game and donated
A massive thank you to James Woods at The Mile End Inn for putting food on and accommodating us afterwards.

Hey everyone,
As some of you will be aware tomorrow is the inaugural match,of which will become an annual Port Tennant Colts memorial event, to celebrate the life of the late Brin Bidder. It will be held at the Brin Bidder playing fields Ashlands and kick off will be at 2pm. It would be great to see plenty of faces old and new down there supporting the club and cheering the two teams along. All proceeds raised tomorrow will go to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, of which Brin was a great advocate for. It's our first opportunity as a club to show our respect and gratitude to Brin for all he did for the club and the Eastside as a whole. We will be heading back to The Mile End Inn, Fabian way for food and drinks.
Looking forward to seeing the turn out tomorrow of which I think will be a great day.
A massive thank you to James Williams of JMW Heating & Plumbing Limited for sponsorship of our new 1st team kit ready for this season ๐
Good afternoon to everyone.
Port Tennant Colts have the Dockers club booked for a memorial, to the late Brin Bidder, on Saturday 20th August.
There will be a Raffle and Entertainment throughout the evening.
Unfortunately because of restrictions on the club, due to fire regs. We have been restricted to 230 people, tickets only.
If you donโt have a ticket please donโt turn up.
The bar will be available, but we are forced to ensure that entry upstairs is by ticket only.
We are aware that so many people want to show their respect to the great man, & it is very upsetting for us all, but unfortunately this situation is beyond our control.
We are also beginning an Annual Memorial Game in remembrance of Brin this Saturday 13th August at the Ashlands playing fields @ 2pm KO
The game will be played between past and present players and everyone is welcome to come and watch
We will all then head to Mile End after the game.
All proceeds of both events will be donated to The Royal British Legion on the familyโs request.
