You might want to bring an umbrella just in case, but rain activity is pretty thin across SWLA this morning. Even with more rain on the way, it looks like we will be seeing mostly drizzle with a few showers here and there. New rainfall totals expected between a tenth to a quarter of an inch!

Grab your umbrella or rain jacket heading out the door! We've got a line of showers and storms steadily making it's way down into our area this morning! No severe warnings but some heavy showers are possible.

Getting quite the light show off the Cameron coast this morning but no severe warnings at this time! Storms attempting to build their way north are producing frequent lightning and heavy downpours. Keep an eye on your radar if you are near the coast, and if you have outdoor plans this afternoon as we will likely be seeing scattered activity throughout the day!

Scattered showers and storms expected to pop up throughout the day today as an upper level disturbance moves over the area. Rain for those who get it and extra cloud cover will help keep temperatures a little cooler for the afternoon.

Strong Storms continue to push south with a Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for parts of Allen and Beauregard until 3:30 AM. Winds gusting as high as 60 MPH and hail up to 1.50" are possible. Seek shelter immediately if in the path of these storms.

Onshore flow is creating a few scattered showers across south Louisiana this morning, but precipitation isn't expected to do more than skim a few parishes in our area. The bulk of stronger storms is staying well off to the north following storm tracks along the jet stream.
