Not even GUNK cleaners and degreasers are going to be able to clean up the mess left over from our final. It was a πͺ fight.
It was great to be back at the track with friends and family for our first Jr National race. Grady drove up as far as 5th of 44 in the final but ended the battle in 12th. He knocked off quite a bit of rust as the weekend went on. Gained a lot of experience, rubber marks, and bent parts along the way. Huge thanks to everyone that help us make it happen.

We will roll off 9th today in the 44 kart final at 11am. High chance of a storm hitting around that time making for an interesting yet stressful morning.
We are at Pittsburgh International Race Complex for the Cup Karts North America Summer Nationals. This being only our second opportunity to race in 8 months we came in not knowing where to set our expectations. Yesterday was humbling as we struggled. Today Grady has our GUNK cleaners and degreasers Lawson Speed Shop powered Stehle Motorsports Birel ART in the top 10. Finishing 4th in his group in heat 1. You can watch racing live at Kart Chaser on YouTube. We are in the Jr classes.

Reason #1 why we race! The trophy's are cool too!
Long hard day at the race track with rain conditions at Pittsburgh International Race Complex PRKS #1 today. Running 2 classes was a lot of work but mom came to help.
206 Junior DNF
We had pace in the dry starting P3 in the final. But bad luck in the rain took us out of contention early in the final.
Ka100 Junior P1
We only had 30 laps ever in a 100cc before today, which is the fastest thing G has ever driven.
Led some laps in the prefinal and finished 2nd in the dry.
In the final we had a hard faught win in the rain.
Now its time to use our GUNK cleaners and degreasers to get everything ready for race #2.

In a few short years G went from being too nervous to go try this race to damn near winning it on his first try. We are beyond proud of our boy. A wise man told me over the weekend that each one of these drivers has amazing courage to even get out on that track. And the ones up front are also extremely talented. I cannot agree more these kids are amazing. Congrats to Holden on his season and his Grands win, it was well deserved.
Thank you to Gary at Lawson Speed Shop for reminding me over and over that the switch will eventually flip with Grady. So glad we were able to keep him involved and having fun until he was ready to show us what he could do. Your 206 package is the best period!
Thank you Stehle Motorsports for your guidance and morning pep talks this weekend. Couldn't have been pitted with a better more knowledgeable group of people. Congrats on your Grands win Marc.
Thank you to our friends the Malcuits. Obviously your racing knowledge is second to none, but doing these long nerve racking weekends with friends makes them so much better. Congrats on your 2nd Grands win!
Thank you to our sponsors GUNK cleaners and degreasers and Sure-Trac trailers for your continued support.
Lastly thanks to our family for allowing us to be gone most of the last month doing what we love to do. Overachieving!
