Tejinder has been a part of the Bore Street family for over 2 years now.

As well as a dedicated General Dental Practitioner, she is well known for her calm and patient approach to treating nervous patients.

Welcome back Emma Hinsley!
We are soo pleased to welcome back Emma from her maternity leave.
The team and I’m sure patients too, are looking forward to seeing her always smiling face back round the halls of BSDP.

Why is flossing so important?

Any kind of interdental (in between your teeth) cleaning is very important.
Food, bacteria and saliva build up in your mouth throughout the day and cause a build up of what we call “plaque”. Plaque is a thin sticky film that coats your teeth.
When using your normal tooth brush twice a day you are removing this film from the top, front and the back of the teeth, but your toothbrush can’t get in between.
If this plaque that is building up between your teeth is not being removed regularly, the plaque film can start to build up and harden causing calculus/ tartar. This cannot be removed by a toothbrush or floss, this then has to be removed at the dentist.
Calculus/ tartar once formed can start to irritate the gums and lead to things like bleeding gums, gum disease and bone loss.
In conclusion, making sure you clean all the plaque building up in between your teeth every day with any interdental cleaning product that works for you is essential for keeping your teeth and gums healthy!

Amanveer joined our team here at Bore Street Dental Practice in spring this year and has become a very valued member of our team.

Highly qualified in all aspects of General Dentistry, Amanveer has completed further hospital training in Restorative and Oral Surgery, a Restorative and Aesthetic Diploma and in addition to all of that she is an Invisalign provider too.

Amanveer also works as an Advanced Facial Aesthetics Practitioner and operates a clinic in London when not here at BSDP.
