Our Colts Wrestling Team is hard at work practicing for their first match on January 4th! Here’s their complete season schedule.

Good Morning, Colts Families!

Our Volleyball and Soccer games have been canceled for today. The make up date has been set for December 6th at Crains Creek Middle. Please mark your calendars.

Our Colts Cheerleaders will still practice at Westmoore Elementary until 5:30 pm and Volleyball will still practice at Elise Middle until 5:00pm.

Colts Wrestling practice will begin next Monday at Westmoore Elementary. All students that have been cleared to tryout for wrestling will need the following items:

-Pair of shorts

-Jogging pants and a sweatshirt

-Water Bottle

-Towel

-Wrestling Shoes

-Mouth Guard (optional)

Attention Colts fans! We have some changes to our Girls Volleyball and Boys Soccer schedule. Be sure to take a look at the updated schedule below!

Get your running shoes ready! The first ever Middle School Mania 5k Run will take place this coming Saturday, November 18th, at the North Moore High School Cross Country Course. Registration for runners begins at 9:30am, and the race itself will begin at 10:30am. There will be a monetary prize for the first place running team, as well as awards for the fastest male and female middle school runners, and medals for top 10 finishers. There is a registration fee of $15 per runner. All registration funds will go toward the purchase of a new scoreboard at Elise Middle for our Northern Moore Colts Football team, Girls Soccer team, and Boys Soccer team.

We want to announce a great community event coming up in November! Our Colts Softball team took home the Lee/Moore Conference Championship this season with an undefeated 10-0 record as they defeated East Lee yesterday! Unbelievable!

Today, Ben Parsons finished first in the boys meet at the Lee/Moore Conference Championship for the second consecutive year!

Wow!!!! 9-0 season….. One game to go! We will take that win against New Century!

All sporting activities are a go this afternoon!

We are monitoring the weather and will post as soon as we know the effects of the rain. As of right now, we are still playing softball and tennis at Southern. Cross Country is still planning to race at East Lee.

The Colts softball game at West Lee has been cancelled for today. Tennis will play at Lee Senior High School today at 4 against West Lee.

Huge SHOUT OUT to our UNDEFEATED Colts Softball team! These ladies battled it out on the field today against West Pine!

West Pine brought the heat and the Colts were ready to play! Both teams showed outstanding sportsmanship! Amazing Game Colts!

Our tennis team worked hard today against West Pine. Although, we didn’t take the overall win, our athletes played hard! So proud of them!

Whew what a busy week in Colts Nation!

On Tuesday our Cross Country team competed at West Pine! Congrats to the Colts XC team for their performances at West Pine Middle. Ben Parsons got a first overall finish for the boys. There other top finishers were Aaron Hussey and Jacob Perry. Their finishes were in the top 30 out of over 100 boys. For the girls, Khloe Marley finished 19th out of over 90. All our other runners did an amazing job with their finishes!

On Wednesday our football team traveled to Crains Creek. We are also so proud of the work our Colts football team is putting in at practice and games! Although, we didn’t get the results we wanted, these boys are continuing to work hard!

Shout out to our Colts Softball team for their win against East Lee! So proud of our girls!!!

Shout out to our Colts tennis team! Even though we came up short, they battled and played hard against New Century!

Our Colts Football team keeps working hard each week! We are proud of our Colts team!

Our cheerleaders were able to cheer at their first football game! Way to pump up the crowd!

We want to shout out our Colts Cross Country team. We had several runners place in the top 20. Khloe Marley placed 18 out of 91 girls. Ben Parsons placed 1st and Aaron Hussey placed 18th out of 126 boys! We are proud of all our runners! Great Job Colts!

Shout out to our tennis team and our softball team for their win today against Crains Creek! We are so proud of both our teams!

Football Jamboree Update!

Due to an increase in the heat index for Wednesday, September 6th and in compliance with the North Carolina High School Athletic Association our Jamboree has been canceled at Pinecrest High School. At this time, football practice will continue at Elise Middle tomorrow from 3:00 pm to 5 pm.

We are monitoring the increased heat index for the remainder of the week for all outdoor athletic events. We will continue to keep you posted as we strive to keep our student athletes safe and healthy.

Tryout Updates!!!

Football will practice next week from 3-5 at Elise Middle. Transportation to Elise will be provided. Please plan to pick up your student athlete by 5 at Elise.

All other sports tryouts will began on Tuesday, September 5th. All schools in our conference will be starting on the same day. This change in tryouts will allow our student athletes to adjust to a new school year.

More information will follow about different sport tryouts next week!

All student athletes must have a physical and completed forms in Big Teams to participate in this opportunity!

Northern Moore Colts Football will have an Info Meeting on Tuesday, August 1st at 6pm in the Elise Middle media center.

All rising 7th or 8th graders at Elise Middle, Highfalls Elementary, and Westmoore Elementary who are interested in playing football this fall (and their parents!) are encouraged to attend!
