This is just one form of communication that I will utilize to keep you up to date on all the amazing things that are happening in our classroom as well as provide reminders for upcoming events and give homework tips for challenging assignments! I'm excited for an amazing school year with your children!
I miss all of your children so much! I hope they have had an amazing start in 5th grade! I wish I had more pictures to share from our Camp Week, but we were busy having so much fun, I only got a few! These were from our paper airplane tests, lava lamps with scary stories, and giant bubble competitions. I hope your child has come home telling you about all the fun we have been having! These events and more would not have been possible without the generous donations from your families. Thank you!
Me gustaría tener más fotos para compartir de nuestra Semana Camp, pero estabamos ocupados divirtiéndonos tanto, sólo tengo unos pocos! Estos eran de nuestras eventos de papel avión, lámparas de lava con historias de miedo, y competiciones de burbujas gigantes. Espero que su hijo/a ha llegado a casa informándole sobre toda la diversión que hemos tenido! Estos eventos y más no habría sido posible sin las generosas donaciones de sus familias. ¡Gracias!
I would like to send a reminder that tomorrow is field day and students must bring a towel, change of clothes (free dress if they donate a uniform in good condition), and sunscreen. Tomorrow will end at 3pm and Thursday will be our early release at 12:45. We will be watching Freak the Mighty tomorrow. Your child may bring popcorn to share with a few friends. I will pop it in class. If you child chooses to bring a treat on our last day, I will make time so they can share it, but there is no obligation to bring anything. Thank you!
Me gustaría enviar un recordatorio de que mañana es día de agua y los estudiantes deben traer una toalla, cambio de ropa (vestido libre si donan un uniforme en buenas condiciones), y protector solar. Mañana terminará a las 3 pm y el jueves será la salida temprana a las 12:45. Estaremos viendo la pelicula "Freak the MIghty" mañana . Su hijo puede traer palomitas de compartir con unos amigos. Los hago en clase. Si su hijo quiere traer bocadillo en nuestro último día, hare tiempo para que puedan compartirlo, pero no hay ninguna obligación de traer. ¡Gracias!

Students created projects for a book of their choice and I was so impressed with the time and dedication (not to mention courage in presenting) that they demonstrated this final round. Thank you parents for all your support and encouragement in helping build a love for books!
Pool Day tomorrow! YAY. Please remember to have your child sent to school dressed in their swim clothes and with a towel and sunscreen. We will walk to the pool right after announcements and head back at 11am.
All students have free dress tomorrow due to spring pictures.

First off, I would like to say thank you so much for providing our class with the much needed boxes of Kleenex. I received 6 boxes today from your wonderful families!
Next, I would like to remind you that tomorrow we will be taking the writing portion of the AZmerit test. All after school programs (Spots and Lexia) have been cancelled Monday ONLY this week to make sure that your child has plenty of time to complete homework and be in bed at a reasonable hour. Please make sure to remind your child to eat their breakfast in the morning. Thank you!

Bike safety + Healthy Lifestyle
Starting today, homework is to be returned EVERYDAY so that we can review the math portion in class the following day. Homework consists of sample problems from the AZmerit test they will be taking in April. Please practice test taking strategies with your child to help prepare them for the assessment. If you are unsure of how to help them, please have them do their best and show at least some work that they tried to solve all problems. They will also be responsible for completing a daily reading log based on their reading of the day.

Empezando hoy, una página de tarea será mandada cada día. Tiene que estar entregado cada día para revisar juntos en clase. Las tareas consisten en problemas que son ejemplos de la prueba AZmerit que van a estar tomando en abril. Por favor ayuda su hijo/a en lo que puedes. Si no está seguro de cómo ayudar, por favor haga que hacen todo lo posible y mostrar al menos un poco de trabajo que trataron de resolver todos los problemas. También será responsable de completar un registro de lectura diaria en base a su lectura del día.

Thank you to all the parents who took time out of their day to read to our class. I will be adding more pictures from today on Monday that I have saved on the school iPad! Buddy Read with Mrs. Araujo's class was ADORABLE! Your children did an amazing job:)

Your children did an AMAZING job! They wrote the interview questions and filmed all the components to help our school community understand why we say our mission statement every morning! It is an honor to be a teacher of these incredible students.
Sus hijos hicieron un trabajo increíble! Ellos escribieron las preguntas de la entrevista y filmaron todos los componentes para ayudar a nuestra comunidad escolar a entender por qué decimos nuestra misión cada mañana! Es un honor ser maestra de estos alumnos!
We ended the trip with a BANG. The canon being fired was one of the best parts of the day!

Presidio De San Agustin Field trip 2016! We had a blast. Take your whole family Saturday February 13 to experience the fun with your child all over again. Your child has a coupon to bring two adults for free and all kids under 14 are FREE!
It is free dress tomorrow for our perfect attendance reward and on Friday for the 100th day of school.
Friday is also our trip to the Presidio! Please make sure your child in on time and ready for a fun-filled day!

What a great learning experience for our 4th graders in our beautiful desert home!
Our Desert Museum trip is this Monday the 30th. YAY! Please remember to send your child with good walking shoes and a sweater. A water bottle is also a good idea since we will be outdoors for a couple of hours. Thank you!
Nuestro excursion al Museo del Desierto es este Lunes el 30. ¡YAY! Por favor, recuerde enviar a su hijo con buenos zapatos para caminar y un suéter. Una botella de agua también es una buena idea porque vamos a estar afuera durante un tiempo. Gracias!
