A little Independence Day Pickins on the farm.
Psalm has delivered a litter of 5 puppies. They are now 3 weeks old and up for adoption. As always, they are farm raised with sheep and chickens, and socialized mildly with adults and children.
Available the second week of July.
Two that are all white are male. The three black and white are female.
Cold weather crops, like this collard, can survive and even thrive in these wintertime temperatures and even a little snow ❄️
Notice anything different about these 2 eggs?
The left white egg is from the store
The right brown egg is farm raised on pasture
Can you see the difference in the yoke color?
Eggs laid by free range chickens have a much darker yoke from the extra vitamins and minerals they are able to get from grazing. Some people say you can taste the difference too. What do you think?
We have puppies that will be available for Christmas Delivery. Pyrenees/Anatolian, raised with animals and kids. Both Parents on site LGDs. Sheep and Chicken raised. They even have a nanny hen. Send us a message if interested. Even glad to have Because of Claus deliver puppies.
Pumpkin Bread/Muffins 😋

Arrange ingredients on a plate.
Add ons:
Berries (strawberry, blueberry, blackberry)
Red onion
Protein (bacon or chicken are great)
Feta or your favorite cheese
Cranberries
Dressing:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Add all of the dressing ingredients to a mason jar and shake thoroughly. Refrigerate any leftovers. Try not to lick the plate 😋

Homemade Grape & Muscadine
Jelly Recipe
In honor of Labor Day, we are sharing one of our favorite dessert recipes. And the best part is it’s pretty healthy and there’s no cooking involved!
Ingredients:
Berries in bite-size pieces (we have used blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries- whatever you have on hand. It is very patriotic looking with blueberries and strawberries)
Angel food cake
Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream
Tear the angel food cake into small quarter size pieces. Spread a layer of the torn cake in the bottom of your serving dish (1 layer of cake to just cover the bottom is good) then add the berries and top with the whipped cream or Cool Whip. Repeat layering the items until you fill your serving dish. This desert is particularly beautiful served in a truffle or clear glass container.
Enjoy!
Homegrown apples weighing in at just under a pound. Be on the lookout for our apple butter recipe soon!
More Babies arriving this morning. Freedom Ranger Hatchery, Inc. does an amazing job to ensure chicks are safe and healthy upon arrival.
During morning rounds we discovered some new arrivals... twins!

Break out the churn...
We are sharing the peach ice cream recipe our family created and loves!
(This is for a 1 1/2 gallon ice cream maker)
Our peaches are raised without chemicals, sprays, or pesticides. Who knew pantyhose could be so useful?!?
A “berry” good evening for picking!
Graduation day!
