I would like to officially announce that I am a contestant in the Miss Sierra Leone New York/ Trista
I am a current Senior at Salem College in Winston- Salem, North Carolina majoring in both Chemistry and Mathematics. I aspire to be a Forensic Pathologist and I am currently embarking on the Medical School process. I currently am the Defensive Specialist on the volleyball team at my school, the President of the Ghost Ryders Step Team and I am one of the founders of the African Student Organization
on my campus and I also serve as the Treasurer. I am also the Teaching Assistant for the Chemistry, Physics and Biochemistry labs in the Science Department at my school. These positions that I hold allow me to be a team player in all aspects and communicate well with others. On each of these organizations I hold different positions and the positions range from a simple member to the leader of one of the organizations. As the President of my Step Team, I have to come up with routines but also drill about 10 girls day in and day out for performances. As a founder of the African Student Organization, I have to constantly hear backlash about how we are not representing the African countries that people in the organization are from. Internally, we give each other ideas and are not afraid to respectfully disagree with ideas or even add on. All of these roles allow me to be humble because I know how to work well with others regardless of if I am a leader or just a member. I am exuberant and adventurous with everything that I do and I am always sure to give everything that I do 110%, 100% of the time.
