Hear why your friends and neighbors are in favor of facility updates at Little River and Windom schools.
Modern education has new needs, and our community’s ability to thrive in the future depends on the quality of our schools. For years, the USD 444 Board of Education has diligently worked to maintain facilities and fund small expansions/renovations on a modest annual capital outlay budget.
As we look at the future, the 80+-year old classroom wing at Little River Jr-Sr High and the “shed” at Windom Elementary are approaching end of life, and long-term cost-benefit points to new construction rather than heavy renovation. We’re needing major improvements for accessibility and the safety of our students and staff. And we need classroom modernizations to improve learning.
