How much is your head worth? According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, wearing a bike helmet while riding a bicycle reduces your risk of serious head injury by nearly 70% and of a fatal head injury by 65%. Helmets should be worn for every ride, no matter how short. Even low-speed falls can result in serious head injuries.
