NIGHTSKINS - January 19 2024

At the beginning of 2024, my newest project will be yours! Nightskins is not an album in my opinion, but just a collection of noise, wrapped up in a nice package. It has 10 tracks and most of them have lyrics.

You've already heard Trapped in the Forest of Mimes and Dystopia, but I'm really exited for you to hear Shrooms and Nightskins, the title track. These are really the main songs of the project, the rest are just nice vibez, manifestations of this concept. Alien Body is also a very interesting song/concept so I also can't wait for it to come out.

While I was making this project, I constantly compared it to Alien Damnation, my first album. In my mind, this is Alien Damnation's sister in a way, conceptually and even a bit sonically.

Suddenly it just clicks into place, like the last puzzle piece, you realize it's all an illusion created by the alien forms standing right in front of you... They've been testing you, your brain, your mind was scanned and now they don't need you anymore... You're frightened, you don't know what they're going to do, but you remain calm and wait for whatever's to come...

It's familiarly alien, like you've seen it before, but you've never actually seen it, spoken to it, touched it, but you still think you know it... This alien object fills up your brain with excitement you've never felt before... It want's you to join it.. whatever it is...

You feel a breeze of cold air on the back of your neck... Something feels strange but also somewhat familiar... You know something is coming, but you don't know what... at least not yet...

DYSTOPIA OUT NOW

My new song is out now everywhere and it's so exciting to finally have this song out of my hands. I've been working/listening for about a year now so it's great to have other people hear it too. I always wish I could hear my songs for the first time, but the closest I can get to that is by seeing the reaction of other people listening for the first time.

DYSTOPIA OCTOBER 13TH

Every time I release a single I go on and on about how much I love the song I'm releasing and it's the same story every time. I make the song, I love it, I then need to release it and then I start to become indifferent about it.
Dystopia is just another song I made that I was obsessed with and now when I'm actually releasing it, almost a year later, I just like it I guess, but you know why that always happens? Because I keep making better and better music that just outshines my previous work. So by the time I release these already, for me, old songs, I've already grown them out.

I still like this song and I'm glad it's coming out, the same with the album, but it's crazy that I already have better music that I want to release. The worst part of this thing I'm doing is having patience.

Anyway, hope you like it when it comes out, this Friday!

Wooooo, finally, I can share this song :))

To be honest, the main reason I made NIGHTSKINS was to be able to share a bunch of demos I had made but that didn't fit into any of my other projects. One of the main songs I wanted to share was Dystopia!
It's an experimental bass heavy song about the awful world humans could have created
Main thing I like about it is the way I recorded and mixed the vocals. I really love the wispery spoken sound I came up with while making this song.

AI AI AI AI and I think more AI?
I don't think I can talk more about AI in art at this point. I think I have communicated my ideas well enough and shown the powers of AI in art and how it can be a very valuable tool for any artist.

Just to talk about it some more, here's my work process:
First I search for a text to image AI generator (DALL-E or Runway usually), then I try to generate what I wan, for example and alien spirit god with antennae with blue neon lights, and then I look at what's been generated and think about ways I can merge it with my art. I usually combine the generated images with 3D render I already have and slap a gradient map over it all to make everything look cohesive :)
And that's kind of it

Well, this isn't AI like my previous 3 posts... it's actually some stoopid little sketches and random textures mixed together because that's what I just want to do sometimes, being a natural lazy person :3

It's not the nicest composition but if I stop posting daily I am afraid insta is going to stop showing people my posts again, so I'm gonna try to keep posting something everyday for as long as possible :)

I've been talking about the little alien ants quite a bit recently in my previous posts, but I haven't actually made anything specifically about them. The ant creatures in this image were generated using Runway Text-to-Image! To be honest I don't really know what the alien ants are supposed to look like, but I think it would be funny if the were just like the little ants we're all use to :)
Actually, while I was making this album, the story that I came to was that ants on planet Earth had finally taken over and killed humans. But then I imagined something more alien and came to this concept :)

As usual, the second pic is what the AI generated and the first one is what I made with it using ✨ and ✨

If there are gods in NIGHTSKINS there must be dæmons, right?
This is from my AI as an art tool series. It's been really fun honestly working with what the ai generated, trying to make a nice composition.

In the last image you can see what the OpenAI DALL-E generated. It was a variation of the same prompt as my last post, but it looked a lot more dæmonic than the other one so I decided to create some kind of good and bad scenario where the creature from my second post is some kind of protective overlord while this one could be some kind of dæmonic underlord.

DYSTOPIA comes out on October 13th and then the album early next year btw :)

My upcoming album NIGHTSKINS is such an abstract project that even I don't know much about this weird alien world that I've created.
I like to imagine that this huge ant creature is like some kind of god for the little alien ants living in their little cities. Big ant protects them, always watching over them.

In continuation to my last post, this is also made with AI in a interesting way. The god creature is made with OpenAI DALL-E! The rest is just photoshop and creativity :)
I really like working wit AI right now, especially because I am just one person and I can't make absolutely everything the way I want it to be. But with this tool, I can now bring those distant concepts and compositions to reality!

The last picture is what I generated using OpenAI.

AI is really powerful and a great tool for artists to be honest. I don't believe that it could ever replace a human , but I do think that it's a tool that every artist should at least try and eventually use in their work.
I made this from two images I made for NIGHTSKINS and merged them together using
OpenAI DALL·E and a little for the text and the film overlay :)
