ATTENTION FOR THOSE JOINING / INTERESTED IN JOINING HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING: First practice will be 6:30 AM on Monday, November 20, 2023. We will be doing cardio and might be outside so dress accordingly. We will also have practice after school on Monday November 20. It will begin at 5:30 PM and will be in the wrestling room. YOU MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL ON FILE in the office in order to practice. BOTH PRACTICES ARE MANDATORY!!
Remember, this is a 5 day school week, meaning THERE IS school tomorrow, Friday, November 17, 2023. Again THERE IS SCHOOL ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2023.
High school wrestlers, your first practice will be Monday Nov 20th at 6:30AM. This is a mandatory practice, make sure that you have all your paperwork turned into the office before practice.

Dear Parents,
It’s that time of year when we start planning for the winter sports season. The first scheduled High School Boys’ Basketball Practice will be Monday, November 20th, starting at 4:05 pm in the high school. We will be checking out practice gear and having a team meeting on Monday, November 20th, at 7:00 am. Our parent meeting will be Monday, November 20th, at 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. We would really appreciate your attendance at this meeting. There are always some issues addressed that are different from years past.
If your son is planning on playing basketball this year, please make sure he has a physical before November 20th. We are unable to let anyone participate unless they have a physical on file in our activities office. Our state mandates for safety that each athlete complete 9 separate days of practice before they can compete in their first contest. Our Coaches this year are Jason Lembke for JVII, Nate Schelling for the JV Team, and Lew Vasquez as a volunteer assistant.
Our emphasis as a coaching staff this year will be to focus on team accountability and what the expectations are for being a good teammate. We want our players not to focus on the mistake, or who made the mistake, but instead to work together to make things better. Our terminology is “Next Play!!!”. We will continue focusing on hard work, pride, commitment, and determination. We feel that their work ethic on individual skill improvement is vital to the improvement of our program. We will also focus on helping athletes accept roles that are in the best interest of our team. We strongly support the WHSAA 307 Leadership Program. Their emphasis is sportsmanship and conduct. We will also continue to stress academics. We have found over the years that the students that take care of their responsibilities in the classroom have greater success in the gym. We will be unable to attain these goals unless we have your support as parents. It is crucial to maintain a parental role with your son while emphasizing and supporting the team goals. Our coaching staff wants to have an open communication line with you as parents. As always we encourage visitors at our practices, but ask that you refrain from talking while in attendance so it won’t take away from running a positive practice. We provide a booklet for every player that contains all info for our season. Please make sure your son brings this home for you as parents to utilize.
It takes commitment and cooperation from coaches, athletes, and parents to have a successful season. We are looking forward to the opportunity of working with your son this year.

Tonight's junior high football game is canceled. Players will still need to meet coaches in the locker room after school to turn all gear in.
