Our chicken saga continues…
After losing our first birds to the local predators, we spent some time recuperating and reinforcing our coop… then were gifted this small, fiesty, young flock.
Well… the other day, one of our hens began to crow 😆 so turns out it’s a rooster and we will begin our flock again.
This time, Z wants to incubate the eggs from school and hatch them and raise the chicks from day 0… to raise her ultimate snuggle flock. I think we’re ready now. 😆

I’ve been on many airplanes. This one feels like a big deal though. I worked so hard to get here, have had so much support (for which I’m ever grateful) and I’m really going to miss my girl… but I’m bound and determined to show her what it means to chase dreams and tend to one’s own heart. ❤️🤍💚
