A community celebration of gifting with VFA, Sewa International USA - Atlanta, Uttar Pradesh North America Association
As part of the βNamaste Urban Empowerment Initiativeβ, Several Non-Profits including Chevy 1K resource Center, Sewa International, VFA (Vedic Friends Association), and Uttar Pradesh North American Association (UPNAA) came together to uplift the under-served community in East Point, GA.
We did a coat drive and other essentials like beanies, gloves, and socks to keep warm during the cold weather. Hot meals were served to 100 people.
Several Sewa LEAD students (Leadership Development through Community Engagement Program of Sewa where young kids learn leadership qualities while serving) prepared and packed hot meals under the able guidance of Madhavi Gunasekharan ji and Ramya ji.
Several volunteers attended in this cold-biting weather to serve the community. We also had Sanket Patel Ji (Incoming TIE, Atlanta chairman) with his family wife Bindi, and daughter Bryn.
Various beneficiaries came with their kids to get winter clothing and other necessities along with food.
It was a great way to end this year Serving the community. Happy Holidays and stay warm.
