Over the last six months I have been incredibly fortunate to have been a part of The Flamingo Project, a local initiative bringing together highly skilled female mentors with women who wish to learn and up skill themselves.

A huge, heartfelt thank you to Neha Samar for bringing this wonderful idea to life, and my mentors Kathryn Maddox and Melissa Mitchell for their support and knowledge. I have learnt so much from you two in the last six months and will be forever grateful to you ❤️

This is a photo of me in full PPE before I provided a COVID positive patient with a chest X-ray.

On NYE I imaged a COVID positive patient in critical care who was intubated and had a line in just about every accessible vessel. Her chest X-ray showed severe, extensive pneumonia and the prognosis did not look good.

When I started this business, face masks were hard to find and were prone to price gouging. It was my aim to provide people with access to a quality product at a fair price.

It is my hope that people will continue to protect themselves and the community - to reduce the chances of visiting me or my burnt-out colleagues with a COVID positive diagnosis.
