I made these with the "tails" of two ivory piano keytops. Embellished with detailed microphone stampings, they are perfect for a singer, if you're in a band, a musician or even a podcaster or speaker of any type. Fun, unique and you won't find another pair!

Check this one out!! JUST LISTED in the Etsy shop today. I landed these beautiful round diamond-encrusted buttons. Yes, they are buttons, slightly domed, and have a single loop shank on the back. These likely were used for upscale types of clothing back in their day! I only have ten and used 8 of them to create this stunning necklace. They are linked with stainless steel jump rings in a bib style. Added are small, clear teardrop glass beads and the bottom has a vintage icicle shape lead crystal to complete the look. I think this is worthy of the , don't you??!!

Canton City Lines Inc.* vintage transit token bracelet. These coins have a copper over silver metal finish which makes them rather pretty I think! About the size of a US quarter and mounted to a solid back round medallion. If your initial is a "C" or you're from Canton, Ohio, don't let this bracelet head down the road! I only have one to offer. I love when I can bring together re-found objects and small antiquities in a thematic way to create new jewelry like this necklace! This trio of amulets are all Canadian in origin - The horseshoe pendant is from Canadian Shoe Company (likely was a marketing piece and offered to customers as a key chain), the transit token is from Toronto Transit Commission, aluminum and has "good for one fare" on the back, and the cuff button is from Canadian Pacific Railway (from a railman's uniform. Note the beaver logo which has been resurrected in recent years to the CP's logo once again!). All three are perfect complements to one another, hung from a gold stainless steel toggle and trendy paperclip chain, also in stainless steel.

It has saddened The Museum to hear that, on Friday the 1st of March, Iris Apfel- one of our BIGGEST alternative jewellery heroes- passed away at the age of 102.

Iris was many things throughout her life; a businesswoman, fashion designer, interior designer, copywriter and model; but it was her uncompromising STYLE and FEARLESS attitude towards colour that cemented her status as a mould-breaking icon.

See, not only did Iris REFUSE to conform to what our unspoken ageist societal beliefs deemed the ‘age-appropriate way to dress’, but this eternal rockstar of a human held up a metaphorical middle finger to those who dared to suggest that there was an ‘age-appropriate way to accessorise’.

In short?

Iris Apfel surpassed her hundredth year on planet earth wearing multiple reams of butterscotch bakelite beads, designer plastic chains by the dozen, entire WRISTFULS of primary coloured lucite bangles, AND- MUCH to the surprise of EVERY colourphobic ageist wotsit out there- looked IMPOSSIBLY bloody sharp throughout!

To quote our maximalist idol herself:

Found this vintage 1960's Trump brand guitar badge in a drawstring pouch in my studio. Totally forgot I had it (and I have a second one that is a "Conqueror" brand too). With the upcoming election, I thought "Why not?" and got to work creating this "Trump '24" necklace. 🇺🇸 The Trump brand of guitars were made in Japan in the 60's and distributed by Bruno & Sons here in the US. The metal "24" is a disc from an old game and now represents 2024. Overall, I think the necklace is quite creative, and no, not I, nor my business, is necessarily endorsing President Trump. Just creatively upcycling an old guitar badge! 😁🇺🇸 PM to snap this up!
