Have you ever had a very painful area with a taut knot like bean that when you touch it, it radiates into your arm or other parts of your body?
That would be a trigger point and if you didn't know there are different types of trigger points that can develop.
I absolutely love Trigger Point Release Therapy! I think I will get certified in this type of modality next.✨
Now be advised this isn't for everyone all the time like swedish massage. The client has to be ready and willing to receive this type of work. Depending on different factors will depend on the treatment of these. But babyyy when they release, oh wow!!! You feel like a brand new person! 🤗 it isn't uncommon for a client to have an emotional release as well, perfectly ok.
Just make sure if you do seek this type of bodywork that you understand expectations and communicate with your massage therapist. And don't forget to breathe through it!!
