There has been a call for a monthly CDP practice hosted by the PDX Play Pod and offered on Zoom. It will be held on the fourth Sunday of each month starting at 6 pm PST and ending somewhere between 8 and 8:30 pm. We will start as usual for us with counting down from 10 to find ourselves in a virtual circle to bow in. From there we will collectively decide our trajectory for the evening. All are welcome to join. Our hope is that our podmates who have dispersed from Portland and those whom we have met in our travels will be able to join us. Here are the Zoom details

Daily Dance Dates as part of Contemplative Dance Practice International

Daily Dance Dates are a 9 minute body mind movement practice focused on stillness, mindful movement and deep play. During this practice we will meditate, move together and self-research in stillness and action, then in relationship with each other as part of a growing dance of emergence into a renewed sense of wellness. In this practice the intent is to create an energetic wave of connection generating the conditions of peace. Daily Dance Dates is a translation from Barbara Dilley’s Contemplative Dance Practice.

CDP (originated by Barbara Dilley) consists of three main sections: silent meditation, personal warm-up, and open space followed by reflection, (writing, drawing etc) and sharing back. Open to everyone. Facilitated by Karen Nelson

Tuning Scores Practice
Warm-up into the compositional play of Tuning Scores
(originated by Lisa Nelson).
This practice session, open to beginners, will include prompts for sensing in the body and on the screens. We’ll use calls and actions to communicate during the improvisation.
