Good morning. Wishing everyone a happy day.

The hen that hatched the chicks on June 15th has them out mingling with everyone and teaching them to be chickens. This hen is the best mom. I get so tickled watching her and the babies.

Well this girl hatched out six yesterday who are now in a cozy pen with feed and water. They are so cute!

I think we are really finished now unless we have any hiders show up with a family.

Ms. Olive is finally letting us get a look at her chicks.

This little is developing quite the hairstyle as it is growing up.

She is a mother! I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I went out the feed everyone and Ms. Olive Egger who has been sitting on eggs has a few chicks under her.

She was so determined to sit on eggs that we finally let her save up a clutch and sit on them. So far she is happy as can be and is being a great mom. We can't wait until she brings them out so we can get a head count and see all their cuteness!

I took Molly out for her morning romp. The first thing she did was take a dip in her pool, then went to sniff around. I noticed her sniffing in the weeds and looking guilty, so went to check it out. The picture shows what she had.
I am assuming someone threw bread out for the chickens and she found one they missed and an egg in the weeds one of the girls dropped while free ranging yesterday afternoon.

I love hatch day!

It's hatch day here. So far eight little ones are out and I see three more working hard on it. no matter how many times I do this I am still amazed by it.

Breakfast. lol I think one of my hens was trying to claim these to hatch. I took them and she came back later making a racket at the nest, so I gave her a few eggs back to see if she wants to sit on them.
