Happy (only kind of late) new year! An art teacher once taught me that sometimes to see what needs to change in a piece, you need to step back. So instead of resolutions, here are a few reflections. In 2022 I:

✨started a business
✨made my first sale (& more after that)
✨made lots of new art
✨watched my products & vision come to life
✨sold my stickers ‘s
✨had a feauture in the news
✨& more

I also:

🚫didn’t sell as much as i’d hoped
🚫found myself struggling to keep up and not get burned out
🚫cried (often)
🚫struggled to believe in any future success
🚫searched high and wide for my target market but couldn’t seem to reach them
🚫dealt with insecurities
🚫& more

2022 was a long year of trying, failing, and sometimes succeeding. I feel like I learned more than my brain could take in at once, and watched myself grow and change into something completely new. This year all I can resolve to do is keep building on that. Thank you to anyone who bought anything Ryan Elizabeth Art last year & to anyone who chooses to do so in 2023. The painting vs. the reference. I absolutely love this photo and painting. Sundance is a place I’ve always loved so dearly. It reminds me of running around in the forest, swinging on swings that always felt like they would break at any moment (even though they never did), skiing and snow, my family friends cabin, sitting in their hot tub watching the snowflakes fall, hiking in the summer. Its where I like to run away to. isolated and serene…it’s perfect. Luckily I have this beatiful painting to remind me of my happy place always. It’s snowing in Denver right now even though it was 90° and sunny yesterday. It’s like our last little taste of winter, so i’m seizing the moment to promote myself of course. Happy international women’s day! This woman owned business is celebrating with one of my favorite products in my shop. I made this design with the idea that we should find power in the things we are forced to experience everyday in a mans world. If women have too much s*x, we’re s***s.
