Hands-on lab: Prototype and build a handheld game with Netduino and C#
VANCOUVER: Please Join Jorge Ramirez and Adrian Stevens and learn how to design and assemble your own handheld games. This is a free Meetup event; please RSVP at https://www.meetup.com/Hardware-Hackers-Vancouver-BC/events/253690736/ .
In this hands-on lab, you’ll build a hardware prototype for an interactive memory skill game inspired by the hit retail game Simon. We’ll mount momentary buttons, LEDs and piezo speaker to a prototyping board and connect the hardware to a Netduino 3. Next, we’ll use Visual Studio, C # and Netduino.Foundation to interact with the hardware peripherals and add the game logic.
By the end of this lab, you’ll have fully working game with buttons, lights and sound! We’ll also show you two other Netduino applications that run on the exact same hardware!
Netduino 3 WiFis and hardware will be available to use to create the project. Bring your laptop! A Windows PC with Visual Studio 2015 or a Mac with Visual Studio for Mac is required to program the Netduino.
