The Royals defeat Thomas Dale tonight 3-2. Senior Azaria Atkins’s serving twice propelled the Royals’ comeback in the 3rd and 4th games. The Royals took the match in 5 in extra points 16-14. Grace Peterson was unstoppable at the net. Congrats to a total team victory. Record 4-0.

Girls Volleyball: Varsity tryouts are postponed until Wednesday February 17th at 3:00 p.m. in the PGHS Gym. JV tryouts will begin Monday February 22nd.

Due to the inclement weather, power outages, and travel concerns- please note the following changes to our sports. If schools are closed Tuesday tryouts will be postponed to the next day. Please check back frequently as the situation is evolving.

Boys and Girls Volleyball: Tryouts are postponed until Tuesday February 16th at PGHS gym. JV tryouts will start on Thursday Feb 18th.

Tryouts for the varsity girls volleyball team will begin on Monday, February 15th at 2:45pm.

Tryouts for junior varsity girls volleyball will begin on Wednesday, February 17th at 2:45pm.

All participants must have a VHSL completed physical in the main office of PGHS before the first tryout date. The Covid 19, concussion, and athletics handbook forms must also be on file in the PGHS office. no one will be permitted to participate without the forms submitted to the PGHS main office. Please make sure to submit all forms before the first tryout date.
