I was hesitant if I wanted to share or not but we have all got to start somewhere. 4 years ago me and my family were evicted from our house for the first time ever. I was a senior in high school and my 18th birthday was just weeks away. I was working a part time job at sonic and going to this program called oasis to make some extra money to help my mom with the bills. Sadly it wasn’t enough and we were forced to leave and put our things in storage until we found a new place to stay. I felt so defeated to be going through such a terrible point in my life. I felt like my senior year was ruined!! I couldn’t imagine going to school homeless but I woke up every morning catching 2 city buses to get to school in the morning. And then figuring out where I was going to lay my head after I got out of school and off work. Little did I know all of this was only the start of a monumental testimony!!! Even though the environment around me was ugly I made sure I smiled everyday because the pain and suffering I was going through couldn’t compare to the joy that was coming. I awakened a strength in me that I didn’t know I had. Even though I didn’t look like what I was going through I was so angry with god. I didn’t understand why this was all happening so suddenly. It was so hard for me to trust him but I’m glad he sent me a friend that knows god and all that he can do. As I began to trust him and listen to what he was teaching me I began to silence the anger in my head and listen to the love in my heart and move they way only god could show me. By his grace and mercy covered. And I finally have overcame the fear of being vulnerable to share my story with you guys I hope it touches the ones who struggle with their on personal battles. Even tho I lost EVERYTHING I knew god had a purpose and one day I’d truly understand why i had to go though it all. So no matter what is holding you down GET UP AND KEEP ON GOING !!!“For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a life-time: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)
