Do we give God our very best or do we give Him our leftovers? The thing about leftovers is that they don’t taste like the original meal cooked which is always best. When Mary anointed Jesus’ head with her expensive perfume what she did was bring her absolute best and not her least. Mary teaches us to give the Lord our whole hearts and our whole lives. We are called to pick up our crosses and to follow Jesus. He alone is so worthy and deserves the best of us not our leftovers.
