It's always a pleasure to see characters in a book you've read, come to life on screen. I felt some type of way while watching Anatomy of A Scandal. Loved the adaptation.

Here are a few popular movies that were adapted from books: Gone Girl, Handmaid's Tale, Lord of the Rings, YOU, Safe, Carrie, Bridgerton, Anatomy of a Scandal, Americanah, 50 Shades of Grey, Behind Her Eyes, amongst others.

If you do end up reading them, make sure to place the movies side by side and come up with your verdict. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Still in honour of World Book Day, let's have some fun with words. How many words can you make from "unbelievable"? Drop them in the comments section. Leggo๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ’ƒ

P.S: should we drop another reel tomorrow?๐Ÿ™ˆ

Dear book lovers,

Today is the day set aside to celebrate what we love the most.
So, as we celebrate World Book Day, please give a shout-out to your favourite book or author.

Thank them for keeping us entertained on those nights sleep couldn't find us, on those days when we wanted to travel into a different world.

Thank them.

Happy World Book Day, Tribers!

01/03/2022

Did you know? World Book Day is happening this Thursday. Whoop!

Your child's school is probably going to have something planned for the day so even if you don't do anything special to commemorate it as parents, do well to ask them about the day and whatever events took place.
It could be something to bond about.

"When I look back, I am so impressed again with the life-giving power of literature. If I were a young person today, trying to gain a sense of myself in the world, I would do that again by reading, just as I did when I was young."
- Maya Angelou.

This is your Monday motivation to pick up that book and read.

25/02/2022

It's the last Saturday of the month!

Turn on post notifications. Get your popcorn, get your kids to make it a date with us tomorrow by 4pm.

We will be reading a classic๐Ÿ˜
See you there!

23/02/2022

Experts say that one way to get your children more involved in reading is taking them along when going book shopping.
Your children get to have say in the choice of books and YOU get to have a say when they don't finish the book as agreed, considering that it was their choice.๐Ÿคญ

It's a win-win, yeah?

So, again we ask: when last did you go book shopping...with your kids?

22/02/2022

When children are learning to read, they read everything and anything they see. You will find them reading the signs on doors, on the road and even trying to peek into your phone to read. We all went through that stage, when we were curious about words around us.
Now, we barely even glance at signs when we walk into a place.
How many times have you gone into a shop and totally ignored the instruction on the door?
Guilty or Not guilty? ๐Ÿ˜„

May we never lose our wonder when it comes to reading.

18/02/2022

๐Ÿ’ฏ true.

It's Friday, curl up with a book, will ya? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅฐ

It's amazing that Enid lived and died before some of us were born, but she still has an immense impact on us till now.

Many of us grew up reading Enid's books, many of our kids still read her books and she's been gone for over four decades.

Does this tell you something? That perhaps one way to immortalise yourself in the sands of time is to create a lasting legacy. Enid's books will continue to influence children many years from now. Because of her stories, she lives on.

How many Enid Blyton books did you read while growing up? Which was your favourite?

PS: I loved anything about Naughty Amelia Jane.

14/02/2022

Everybody is talking about valentine and love today, so we decided to ask this question.
Romance is a familiar category for adults and young adults. Do you think there should be romance stories for kids?

What are your thoughts on this?

Let us know in the comments๐Ÿ‘‡

11/02/2022

We've been getting feedback from some contestants parents' and we have found them very refreshing. Some of the contestants are diligent with their reading and tracking their reading. Others are visiting the library more often than usual, and this gives us so much joy because this is the WHY.

This is why we set up the competition: to celebrate readers and encourage those with the reading culture.

We still need more sponsors to make this a bigger deal than it already is. We want to celebrate more children, if possible. Every child deserves to win something.

If you would love to be a sponsor, kindly send us a DM or email us at [email protected].
