The former Tottenham Hotspur man caught the eye during his 11 appearances for the Bees which led to him being a player of interest for Erik ten Hag.

Eriksen worked with Ten Hag when he trained with Ajax as part of his return to football following his cardiac arrest while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020.

Contracts are now ready for Christian Eriksen to sign with Manchester Utd, just waiting for medical and then it will be completed.

Vinicius Junior is set to sign a new four-year deal with Real Madrid that will put him on level terms with the club’s top earners.

The Brazilian forward is being heavily rewarded having just completed the best season of his career by far.

The 23-year old Junior finished the season in high moods scoring 22 goals and making 20 assists to fire Real Madrid to the La Liga title and their record-extending 14th Champions League triumph.

According to reports inside the club, Junior’s contract extension is ‘done and sealed’ and will be officially announced in July, with the club also setting the Brazilian’s release clause at around €1billion (£870m) to ward off any interested parties.

Europe’s top sides had hopes of convincing the 21-year-old to leave the club as soon as Vinicius’ contract that was set to expire on 2024.

Paris Saint Germain who were mostly interested and reported to be in constant contact with the player from November 2021 onwards had urged Vinicius not to sign a new deal with Real.

PSG had promised Vinicius a contract worth £34.3m-a-year if he moved to the Parc des Princes, a deal approximately four times more lucrative than the one he has just agreed to, but instead the player turned down the French League 1 Champions offer with his heart set to stay in Spain.
