That’s going to make the Taylor Family Easter a little awkward 😳… Peyton Taylor dominates his Heat race in the Acres.com Mod and leads 30 of 31 laps in the Feature but is accidentally spun by brother Jeff Taylor while navigating lapped traffic on the final lap.
This little pin prick cost us. Peyton Taylor was having an excellent Turkey Bowl XVI weekend at Springfield Raceway. He went from seventh to third in the first qualifying heat, and then led every lap and won his second qualifying heat by over four seconds. Out of the 60 cars competing our No. 01 AcreTrader / Lethal Chassis was locked in on the first night. Peyton even secured the third starting spot with a clutch football toss into a trash can before the race. Everything was going great for the first couple of laps of the feature until we started to lose air pressure in the right rear. By the end of the race there was only 4 lbs. of air pressure left and Peyton had dropped to 13th. Congrats to fellow Lethal driver Tom Berry Jr. on the win! We will be back at it in December at the Gateway Dirt Nationals.

Tomorrow night starts the most challenging stretch of the season for Peyton Taylor and our No. 01 AcreTrader / Slim Chickens Team. This Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we race at at Arrowhead Speedway for the $20,000 to win All-American and then its on to the legendary Eldora Speedway for the Dirt Track World Championship.
If a picture is worth 1,000 words, this video is worth 100,000. This is the start of Peyton’s stock car A-Main on Friday night. It goes to show you how good the action can be at your local track each weekend. Here you have Joe Payne, Richie Tosh, and Peyton Taylor, three talented drivers with a lot of history battling it out for 10 laps. Nobody gets damaged, everyone races clean, and every single inch of the track is used. This is why we like Batesville Motor Speedway, IMCA Racing Stock Cars, and why we think racing on Friday is every bit as fun as racing on Sundays. Peyton ended up taking the No. 7 Slim Chickens / Cadillac Chassis stock car to Victory Lane in this race. Then the next night he finished fourth after getting some early damage. Broke out the open motor and finished 2nd in the Modified Invitational at the SRX Racing event at last night. Peyton dominated his Heat and battled for the win late in front of 10,000 fans. We wanted that last spot so bad, but we represented AcreTrader and Slim Chickens well on this big stage in our first race with a new rules package. Peyton Taylor’s driving skill was on full display, and it was pretty cool to see the legends of our sport come get his advice on track conditions and lines to run before their main event live on ESPN. Congrats to Joe Duvall on the modified win, Jonathan Davenport on the SRX win, and Ryan Newman on the SRX Champoinship.
We are back in the Slim Chickens Stock Car at Arrowhead Speedway tomorrow night. Come on out and enjoy some more great racing like this clip from last weekend. The track is just a short drive from Northwest Arkansas!

As a teaser here are Peyton Taylor’s first ever laps at Arrowhead. From the back to the front, in a heavy car, with it drizzling, in a Heat race, in the slickest conditions imaginable. Yeah maybe it didn’t work out, but we never have to wonder if our driver is leaving anything in the table.

We started our 2023 season off with a Heat win and third place finish in the Feature out of 60 mods on Night 1 of the CLASH on the COAST.
