In my opinion there is nothing more satisfying, in life than cooking with children, especially when it comes to your own grandkid, who has been diagnosed with autism. Cooking and creating your own recipes, brings him one step closer ,to achieving the goal of independence and self worth.Children with autism can expand their social skills, by involving in many kinds of activities, and for Sully it has been cooking, the greatest thing about cooking is that it allows him to make mistakes, no cook is perfect, and sometimes experimenting with a recipe makes it even better.However kids with autism may be rule governed and can become upset if they believe, they measured something wrong ,or forgotten to include an ingredient.Modeling what to do when making an error is essential for your kids, during this process (in my case its with my grandson, who is autistic).Reassure to them that lots of people who cook ,make mistakes, some spill water, some drop utensils, and some burn the food during the saute process and it is simply an error that can be corrected ,and not something to get extremely upset about.
Sully my grandson who is autistic ,has taught me more about life, than anything else in this world ever will,

I made pepper chicken today ,the sauce is so tasty you wont believe it comes together only with a few ingredients, it's delicious ,and has an amazingly, unique flavor, and adds a spicy kick, to the dish. This can be served over white or brown rice.
Entertaining and cooking for people, or for a loved one ,or for good friends, will be different through different stages of life, but it's something I really enjoy,I love the idea of cooking and and randomly distributing, among friends neighbors, and mostly for people in the shelters, today I have made this Sri Lankan speciality to distribute ,totally in my style .I have cooked rice and (curries) the main staple food in Sri Lankan cuisine ,i t can be cooked anyway, or simply boiled or steamed, rice is typically eaten with vegetables fish or meat curries, they are spicy and infused with the characteristic flavors of turmeric, garlic, ginger and coconut milk, it can be enjoyed everyday, for lunch or dinner or any special occasion. I have cooked rice today, with a varieties of curries and wrapped in bananla leaf and baked for distribution.
