THE STEPS YOU MUST TAKE FOR YOUR NEXT PHASE OF GROWTH

Driving to the hospital with one of the ladies who works with me at home as a Help, I asked her, "Beauty, after this what next?"

She says, "Mummy, I don't understand".

I asked again, "When will you stop working for me and what will you do next?"

She didn't know.

She had never thought about it.

She is earning her 40k monthly and just working without any plans for the next stage of progress.

Listen to me please - Many of us are like Beauty, my house help.

Here are the steps I shared with her:

1. Save at least 12k monthly and work for maybe 2 years. You should have up to 250k or even 300k

2. Choose a business that gives a daily profit of 3k to 5k and more.

For her, I choose plaiting of kids hair.

3. Get a small location that you can start from and set it up

4. Buy those posters that have different hair styles for kids and paste around you so you can attract some customers.

5. Daily, plan to make atleast 5 kids hair. None costs less than 1000 Naira in our part of Lagos, including 5 pieces of 'all back' weaving.

6. Add small-small extra products and services that can get you more money like
Washing - 500 Naira
Loosening- 300 Naira
One eighth attachment - 300 Naira
Wool for plaiting - 250 Naira
Pet drinks and snacks - 150 Naira each

I carefully explained how she will be able to make at least 3k to 5k daily profit and enter into a life of 100k to 150k monthly profit.

I explained again that even when you enter that life, you start planning again for the next bigger phase of entering into 300k to 500k monthly.

I told her about how she can keep a low head, lead a responsible life, have decent savings and even get married into a better life than her peers if she can become a planner.

She thanked me so much.

She said, "Mummy, no one has ever explained life to me in phases of progress like this. Everyone keeps saying I should work hard".
