Hi everyone , we are happy to announce that Lucy the founder of this group and page will be back on board after a very long time away . She will be back doing her usual amazing talent of all things dreadlocks and cornrows but will be adding box braids , and other protective styles as well as hair extensions of all sorts ( tape , weft , micro/nano bead and itip ) all this as well as introducing a new massage room and specialising beard/brows and facial care for the guys .
Lisa will still be on board so feel free to send us a message and ask for who you would like for these services .

~ Maintenance & surgery ~

We have been separating 9 year old Max's dreadlocks a previous loctician had joined together . We have done this over two maintenances, making one dreadlock into two. Helped by his mum we seperate not only dreads that were crocheted together but also interlocked at the bottom of each dread making this dread surgery particularly time consuming .
A big thanks for his mums help separating and shaving his two bottom rows . Annabelle and Lucy (and Max’s mum 😉) worked their team magic separated dreadlocks and recreated them with TLC. Its been 6 months since Max's last maintenance

~ Maintenance and dread surgery - splitting dreads

It’s been 6months since Chris’ last maintenance. Today he went from 38 dreads to 52 , by splitting dreads that were eating them selves curling and making them selves shorter . This dread surgery made Chris’ scalp more comfortable and much more manageable and dreads much softer . And a happier man , he now has more dreads than his son lol

~ New creation and extensions ~

What a massive transformation!
Garry got his dreads created by Lucy and on his first maintenance decided he wanted her to make some extensions for him for that instant Rasta look
To save him time in the chair both Annabelle and Lucy installed the extensions together
A very satisfying job with Garry having instant long dreads 👌🏽

~ Braids ~

In September we added in these unicorn coloured braids on Heidi , she has had temporary dreadlocks in the past and wanted to try out the braids . So off we went to work , Lucy starting the braid and Annabelle finishing it , working as the great team that we are . One very groovey colourful lady

~ Maintenance and extensions/thicken up ~

In July we maintained Tristen's dreads and added in hair to his tapered ends to give them a more consistent and fuller look right down to the ends that were tucked to be rounded

We added in two different colours of synthetic hair to fill out his dreads and created an ombre look as well as extended his dreads enough for him to tie his hair back without any falling out or getting in his face.
Lucy removed 11 of tristans dreads and started adding synthetic hair to his dreads . Added little by little til his dreads were filled and more cylindrical. The second session Annabelle helped finish off the second half , we both continued to fill and round his ends . Last photo is of half way 🤗

~ Maintenance ~

How beautiful are these 6 year old dreadlocks with amazing curls at the ends!
From 6 months of new growth and fluffy loose hairs to neat and tidy lokks 😌

~ Fix up, new creation ~

Beth came to lucy during lockdown wanting to get new dreads . She couldn’t wait so maintenance done on her friend created some incredibly this kind dreads for her. We explained to her the massive downsides to having dreads that thick, and how large they will become when mature. She decided to brush them all out. the next day sectioning and undercut done by Lucy while both Lucy and Annabelle worked creating those dreadlocks , she couldn't be happier with the results! 🥰

~ Dreadlock surgery, fix up and maintenance ~

10 year old Max had a complete dreadlock make over in June. This guy's dreads needed a lot of surgery and took 5 hours between us both. We seperated large dreads and made them into two nicely sized dreads, joined tiny dreads together to make thicker and stronger dreads, tucked in those blow outs and did an overall tidy up.
Such a satisfying transformation 🙌
We gifted Max a free hair wrap (courtesy of Lucy) and a handcrafted dread bead from Tree Of Stones for sitting like a champ

Two people working FOR A FASTER DREADLOCK EXPERIENCE:
