Although I’m not a hunter myself, I’ve been hearing through the grapevine that the hunters in Bear River are excited about deer season. I thought I’d choose a colour that will keep y’all safe out there! I also heard that size really does matter.

All sweaters are $40 and words can be customized to suit you.

Building teams within community is one of my favourite things to do. Whether it’s through something I do or attending something others do… I love connection.

It’s easy to miss people. I miss so many people in my life since moving to Nova Scotia, especially Landon!

But I have never missed something the way that I miss boxing classes in Hamilton.
•
But here’s the thing… life is about taking risks. Moving across the country was something we discussed, and decided it was the right choice. Moving to a place where you don’t know anybody is tough. Moving to a place that is so much quieter is different. Moving to a place where the pace of life is way slower takes some adjusting. Moving to a place where I can’t just pick up my gym bag and go has been the hardest adjustment for me.

The biggest lesson I have learned since moving here is that instant gratification is overrated. When living in the city, we are constantly moving with others. We have so many options to choose from, we can’t even sit with ourselves long enough to have deep thoughts. We have everything at our fingertips and we can be so greedy in the sense that we want to have it all. It’s a fu***ng rat race!

I miss my family, my friends, and the gym SO MUCH! It’s crazy. But I am loving the experience of how to appreciate life in a way I never would’ve got to in Hamilton. I’m able to stop and TRULY smell the roses here.

I have big dreams… I’m taking my experiences from back home, and my experiences here, and I am GROWING SO MUCH! It is all part of the process. What I had then is carried with me through my experiences now, and it is humbling to watch our life blossom in a very special way. I’d be lying if I said it’s been easy. But I’m telling the truth when I say we made the right choice. Opportunities like this don’t come everyday, and we are so fortunate to have this one!

I have really fallen in love with taking photos on my phone despite having a DSLR. Photography is something I’m passionate about. When it was part of my income, I lost the joy I once had… I’m starting to gain it back by just having fun with it.

Look at my nephews rockin their new onesies that I provided the screen for. Im obsessed. Auntie loves you both and can’t wait to give you a million smooches when I see you! 🥰❤️

Sometimes I get on my laptop and I create… today was one of those days.

T-shirt’s and tanks have been ordered! But I want to put this out there for anybody interested in a crew sweater for the fall. I will be ordering SCREEN PRINTED sweaters (black only) at the end of August. The cost is higher because screen printing is more money on my end.

Cherry Carnival Festivities

I’m so lucky to have a supportive family who all had my back during my first vending experience. I learned a few things I could do better for next time, while also being proud of myself for just getting in there and doing it.
•
For the week leading up to the event, my entire self wanted to bail. I didn’t think my shirts were good enough, I kept putting everything off, and I felt like I was going to fail.
•
Scott helped me build a ladder out of our own trees, and I put a lot of time into the shirts. I decided I couldn’t just give up. I know better than that. So I put my big girl pants on and I did it!
•
Not only did I meet lots of new people, but I sold shirts, cake pops and I met lots of people/new friends in this town.
•
The best part of yesterday was the feeling of being with my family for our first year at the carnival. My parents, Landon, Thai, and Scott ❤️

I had my first ever table set up. First time vendor over here ✋ I sold some merch, and got my name out there.

A satisfying feeling is when you complete an order.

There was a time in my life when I was trying to put the pieces together. It looked like I had it together (and I was trying so hard to get it together) but inside I was totally falling apart.

I can honestly say that I am now the happiest I’ve ever been in my life, and I spend my days learning more about myself, and walking down new paths with the family that I love in a place I didn’t even know existed 9 months ago.

Life has become a new kind of adventure. I feel safe. I feel secure. I feel at peace. I feel self love. I feel loved. I feel curious about where life is taking us, but I also feel okay about taking my time to figure out what exactly I’m meant to do.

When I first moved here, I was fascinated by the land. My heart burned with desire to learn more. One of the things I love is the native culture, and how much native literature and art I’ve seen. I decided to design a shirt that represented something that I felt upon being here.
