Good candidates have mature facial structures, are healthy, don’t smoke, have a positive outlook/realistic expectations and do not have serious eye conditions.
Eyelids can appear droopy due to a relaxed forehead and eyebrow. This is called eyelid ptosis and requires a different surgical treatment. Your surgeon will evaluate your facial anatomy thoroughly and will discuss the procedures that might best remedy your concerns.
Most health insurances do not cover cosmetic surgery or its complications. However, when blepharoplasty is performed to eliminate the redundant skin reducing field of vision, it may be covered. This is why certain candidates will be asked to complete a field of vision test. Please complete this and review the results with your surgeon.
Straightening a nose is no easy feat, especially in a revision rhinoplasty case . One too many elbows on the court left this guy with a crooked dorsum and no airflow through either side. We cut his nasal bones and rebuilt his war-torn septum with cartilage grafts. He’s breathing like a champ. Now he better wear a face shield.
We are giving away 6 rounds of laser hair removal on under arms & half legs at our Med Spa, Ascent Aesthetics!

We like eyelids at CVFP and we work on them a lot. This patient had a common problem, ectropion, where the eyelid falls away from the eye and the eye tears excessively. 😢😭
A 30 minute procedure in the office with Dr. Robinett was all it took to tighten up the eyelid. (Lateral tarsal strip & canthoplasty). This procedure is typically covered by insurance and has very little downtime or pain and no scarring.
If you can’t tell, we like eyelids at CVFP and we work on them a lot. The surgery starts after you are put under anesthesia in an accredited operating facility – or – anesthetized with local anesthetic in an office setting. An incision is designed to hide in the natural structures of the eyelid region. The upper lid can be corrected through an incision through the eyelid crease. This allows for removal or repositioning of fat pads, tightening muscle and removal of skin. The lower lid can be corrected with either an incision below the lower lash line or from a transconjunctival incision, created on the inside of the lower lid (no skin is removed). Excess fat is repositioned or removed. The incisions are closed with a removeable suture that should be removed 5-7 days post op. Your surgeon may suggest use of laser to improve coloration of lower lids.

(In office brow lift). This patient has had some incredibly rare bad luck. She recovered from 2 bouts of facial paralysis on one side due to Bell’s palsy only to get an incredibly rare tumor of her facial nerve (a Schwannoma) on the other side. We removed her nerve tumor but she was left with some weakness in her facial expression. Through it all she has kept the best attitude and has been an inspiration to me and our clinic!!! We performed a brow lift I. the clinic under local anesthesia to help reanimate her face and unload some of her heavy brow to help alleviate headaches and visual obstruction.
“The best part of rhinoplasty is pulling off the cast and seeing how things look right before the patient gets to see. The excitement of handing them the mirror and watching them meet their new nose never gets old!” Finding a stunning result like the one this beauty got was no exception for Dr. Robinett. This patient had her dorsal hump reduced, her nasal tip refined and the projection of her nose shortened. We are in love with the B&A. Here she is before and just 2 weeks out from surgery.

Blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery, is a plastic surgery procedure to improve the appearance and function of the eyelids. It can be performed on the upper lids, lower lids or both.
You may consider blepharoplasty to tighten loose or sagging skin, remove fatty deposits that cause puffiness in the lids or to close the gap between the lid and the whites of the eye.
“Blepharoplasty is the best, and most natural way to make the patient look 15 years younger..” - Dr. James Blotter
If you desire a more symmetrical nose, keep in mind everyone has some degree of asymmetry. The goal is to create balance and correct proportion.
Rhinoplasty is a customizable and individual procedure. You should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit an ‘ideal’ image.
Good candidates have mature facial structures, are healthy, don’t smoke, have a positive outlook and realistic expectations.
She’s all smiles (and so are we) with these results. This patient had a cleft lip nasal deformity. In the world rhinoplasty, these cases are as challenging as they come. Dr. Robinett built up the left side of her nose with cartilage grafting, reduced the size of the right nostril and restructured the tip to get more symmetry. Here she is just 2 weeks out from her rhinoplasty.
Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a plastic surgery procedure for altering and reconstructing the nose. There are two types of plastic surgery available – reconstructive surgery that restores the form and functions of the nose and cosmetic surgery that changes the appearance of the nose.
You may consider rhinoplasty to enhance facial harmony and the proportions of your nose or for functional reasons.
Rhinoplasty can treat nose size, width at bridge or nostrils, profile, bulbous/hooked/upturned tip, and nasal asymmetry. Rhinoplasty is customizable to your goals.
Rhinoplasty!!! This beauty needed to breath better and wanted a couple “tweaks” to her nose at the same time. She wasn’t sure what she wanted to tweak. Dr. Robinett suggested a plan to turn the nasal tip up slightly, straighten the profile and define the tip. All this was done at the time of her breath better surgery and we love this beautiful result! At CVFP we love helping our patients work through this process from start to finish. Call us to book a free consultation and let us do the same for you.
This beauty wanted to breath better. She had weak nasal cartilages and her nostrils collapsed when she breathed in. The way we fix this is a functional nose job. She asked about making some minor changes to the shape of the nose at the same time. Dr. Robinett did just this and straightened the profile, narrowed the nasal tip and added a slight upward rotation. The result is subtle, natural and beautiful. Here she is at 3 months after surgery.

Who is a good candidate for FaceTite?
You might consider energy based facial rejuvenation if you have loose skin around your face and neck, jowls, need a touch up on previous facelift, or if you are not ready for a full surgical facelift, but would like some areas refreshed.
Good candidates have mature facial structures (around 40-60 years old), are healthy, don’t smoke, have a positive outlook and realistic expectations. They are categorized as “gap patients” meaning, they are borderline surgical candidates, hesitant about surgery and risks, want reduced downtime, and do not want to pay the full price of a facelift.
This beautiful patient had an amazing result with FaceTite and a chin implant. Her jawline is more defined and her e-line proportioned. We are thrilled with her results!
FaceTite is performed under local and oral sedation in office. It is well tolerated and is often paired with liposuction. It’s the next best thing to a facelift without the downtime or long scars.
What questions do you have about FaceTite?
FaceTite, AccuTite and Morpheus8 are radiofrequency assisted facial rejuvenation procedures available on the Embrace platform. These are used for skin tightening. It can be paired with liposuction to debulk tissue and contract the skin. It is performed in office and offers speedy recovery with very little to no downtime.
FaceTite is the next best thing to a traditional facelift without the large scars and extended downtime. It can provide 60% of skin tightening.
AccuTite is a smaller handpiece and can be used around the eyes and folds between the nose and the corners of the mouth.
Morpheus is non-surgical and can be added onto above procedures to enhance results. Morpheus radiofrequency microneedling targets subdermal layers of skin and tissue to remodel and stimulate collagen production. It can improve the appearance of acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, and even excessive sweating.
We hope you enjoy celebrating with family and friend this weekend. Be safe and have fun!
One of the best quotes from Dr. Blotter in the OR yesterday was, “you can’t not make all your steps symmetrical as you go and expect to be symmetric when it’s over.” Our surgeons always begin with the end in mind, and that sets apart their work from the rest! Stay tuned for an amazing b&a from this otoplasty. 💙
Blepharoplasty. 👁
Eyes are usually the first area to show our age. The skin is very thin and can wrinkle easily due to genetics and sun damage. Skin, muscle and fat can be removed from the upper and/or lower lids to smooth out wrinkles and revitalize your most expressive facial feature – your eyes. At times a brow lift is recommended to improve the position of your brow. Results are long lasting and can brighten your eyes to appear more youthful. The procedure can take 2-3 hours. Upper eyelids can be done in the office and lower eyelids needs to be done in the OR. It is outpatient and stitches are generally removed 5 days post op. Bruising and swelling can last 7-10 days and the scars heal very well. Schedule a consult at Cache Valley Facial Plastics to report your medical history, receive a physical exam, take photographs and discuss with one of our board certified surgeons a customized surgical plan tailored to your specific goals.
Here’s a case that demonstrates how many of our insurance-covered functional procedures can be quite cosmetically transforming.. This patient suffered a penetrating injury during a motor vehicle accident. Post-traumatic reconstruction of nose is a true surgical challenge. His left his nasal cartilages were severed in multiple locations and his nose was quite scarred. This along with severe deviation of his lower septum resulted in an ‘A deformity’ of the left nostril. The patient complained of constant left sided nasal obstruction and he wanted to breath better. Dr. Robinett reconstructed the left nostril with an open septorhinoplasty. Cartilage was transferred transferred from the septum to the nostril (alar rim underlay graft + caudal strut graft with swinging door reconstruction). The patient was breathing better immediately after surgery in the recovery room. (The irregular incision pattern under the nose followed his pre-existing scar lines.)
Dr. Zachary Robinett is from Syracuse, Utah. He attended medical school at The Ohio State University. Dr. Robinett completed residency at the University of Iowa. In his early career, Dr. Robinett has developed a diverse plastic surgery practice. His favorite procedures are cosmetic and functional rhinoplasty as well as reconstruction after trauma or resection of facial cancers. He is married to Alyson, they have 4 wild children. Dr. Robinett spends any free time he has on the river fly fishing. He loves to cook, make music, play sports and do whatever his daughter wants.
Rhinoplasty. 👃🏻
The nose is your most prominent facial feature. Bone, cartilage and skin all play a role in the appearance and function of your nose. A nose job can tweak your appearance by altering the size, shape or proportions of your nose. In addition to cosmetic benefits, surgery can also improve nasal airflow, if obstruction is part of your problem. Restricted airflow can make exercising, sleeping and breathing more difficult. Surgery on average takes 90 minutes. It is usually performed outpatient, meaning you don’t have to stay the night in the hospital. Bruising, bleeding, pain, congestion and swelling are the most common risks of surgery. Splints are used to support the nose and are removed 1-7 days after the surgery. Mild swelling can persist for months. Final results can help improve your confidence and self-appearance.
