Saturated fat friend or foe?
Ever felt hungry for "no good reason"? Even though you just ate not too long ago?
Try drinking a tablespoon of ACV diluted in a glass of water. Then watch the magic happen.
*Not medical advice, just sharing some "magic" trick π
*Not recommended for those with chronic digestive issues
Do you track your sleep?
What is your trick for maximizing the deep sleep stage?
How I wish I had more protein growing up. π©
More protein = growing taller, before it is too late in life.

Not all of nutrients we take in may be fully utilized.
DIAAS is the latest measurement of protein absorption/bioavailability.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protein_quality
Comparison In 100g
- Peanut, 26g of protein, DIAAS score: 42%
- Beef, 26g of protein, DIAAS score: 110%
Although peanut and beef contain equal amount of protein, our body will end up absorbing approximately half of the protein from eating peanut as compared to beef.
The presence of excessive Ketones in the blood was historically associated with illness in a state called Keto*acido*sis.
- Do you know that Ketones can be used to produce energy?
- Do you know that brain can use Ketones as fuel in place of glucose?
- Do you know that unlike glucose, Ketones can cross the blood brain barrier independently without any transport?
Now we know that Ketones can be produced by the liver for good reasons, when Insulin stays low for an extended period of time in a state called Ketosis.
Humans run on batteries, too. π π π
These batteries look really fascinating. They have a matrix inside them. π€―π€―π€―
*A lame joke*
What is so special about matrix? It just reminds me of a peculiar sci-fi movie title. π€£π€£π€£
Our bodies derive energy from these batteries, Mitochondria a.k.a the cell powerhouse.
They have their own DNA. WTF? So are they separate organisms that live within us? π±π±π±
Is brain plasticity real?
Are we just scratching the surface?
Is it all just in your head?
How powerful is the brain?

Do you realize how volatile sleep actually is?

Excess sugar consumption appears to raise blood pressure via chronically high Insulin. In a nutshell, you become metabolically ill.
Excess salt consumption seems to do so because of sodium (salt) hydrophilic nature, meaning it attracts water. Higher blood sodium holds onto more water, thereby raising pressure (blood).
Our body can make glucose (sugar) via Gluconeogenesis when deficient. Therefore sugar is *not* an essential nutrient.
We will die of Hyponatremia in the event of severely low sodium (salt) in the blood, because our body cannot make sodium when deficient. Therefore sodium is an essential nutrient.
So what will you do to avoid high blood pressure (hypertension)?
Dips is such a great and fun workout. You affix Russian to it, suddenly it becomes a whole other animal.

Sleep is underrated or often overlooked in wellness and health. Comfort is among the most crucial factors that improve our sleep quality.
I recently found out how amazing bamboo is as material for making bedding products. It is unparalleled in comfort.
I got a duvet and a complete bedding sheet set from made from 100% bamboo. The products are nothing but great, to say the least.
Fix your metabolic disease by upping your protein intake
Higher protein displaces carb and fat which are high in energy (calorie) in your diet leading to a lower calorie input
Protein has a thermogenic effect and promotes muscle synthesis resulting in a higher metabolic rate (calorie output)
Satiety from protein consumption lasts longer making you eat less and less often
Metabolic disease is essentially a product of prolonged energy toxicity
So don't just eat less, but rather eat smart
Increase intensity of core exercises by doing them while hanging.
Not enough?
Do it slowly, very slowly.
An important fact about macronutrients
In macronutrient context
Essential : human body cannot make the macronutrient that it is lacking, so consuming that macronutrient is required
Non-essential : human body can make the macronutrient that it is lacking, so consuming that macronutrient is optional
A big shout out to . Some of your exercises that I attempted here (How did I do, by the way? I hope I didn't do too badly. π
) turned out to be the answer I have been searching for for so long.
I dislocated my right shoulder twice in the past when playing sports. Although it has recovered, it is never the same anymore. Its flexibility and strength have been impaired since. We can see my right arm (the stronger arm as a right-hander) trembled when doing exercise 8. My right shoulder felt unstable in that position.
I have tried numerous stretching techniques which help, but not as effective as these particular exercises you demonstrated turn out to be.
If you had not challenged me, I might not have tried them. Especially the first exercise, when I did it, I could feel my right shoulder subtly repositioned. It felt better afterwards. I will add it to my stretching routine as a rehabilitation for my right shoulder.
I had given up coffee with a heavy heart once for two years because of chronic acid reflux. Coffee made me nauseated then. I complied with the conventional treatment but experienced no improvement.
Coffee pH = 5
Stomach acid (healthy) pH = 1
What the? How did coffee make my condition worse when it is actually *less* acidic than stomach acid of a healthy person?
I have been in remission for the last three years and drink coffee in average one cup a day.
So... what sorcery remedied my condition? In a nutshell, I actually *bolstered* my stomach acid, not suppressed it like how the conventional approach would suggest.
Then is acid reflux really a condition of "too much stomach acid"? I have my doubts. I reversed the condition doing the exact opposite.

My typical meals, low to moderate carb with high protein and high fat. I am powered by mostly fat and protein. I don't fear fat. Our body can make the glucose it needs through . I don't buy into dogma. I have my reasons.
Calories are calories. But not all foods are the same and give the same outcomes in health and longevity perspectives.
I have stopped eating processed foods completely for several years. Yes, they are tasty. Real foods are, too. High quality foods are both tasty and healthy. Nuggets and chicken breast are *different*.
High quality foods indeed are more costly. So you hesitate paying extra for your own enjoyment and health by eating well? Do you think being sick is cheaper? How much are your medicines and surgeries? How is your experience being sick?
Core strength is a major component in the human flag pose. But shoulder strength and stability are nearly as crucial and can be clearly noticed particularly if we slowly raise rather than kick up our body.
In my early human flag training time when holding the pose, my shoulder that was positioned below my head felt like it was going to dislocate. π¨
Or perhaps I just had weak shoulders to begin with. π
Perfecting Back Lever
Three major muscle groups engaged in this move
1. Chest
2. Front shoulders
3. Lower back
Upper back is commonly mistaken as the key component in this move, probably because many people perform this move with rounded shoulders as a result of excessive protraction. Thus visually, it looks like a lot of strength is coming out of the upper back.
