Hey all,

wrapping up 2023 with a list of some of the records I enjoyed while navigating a very frustrating year. Good thing that so many interesting stuff came out, I believe they're all worth checking out, there's a little bit of everything for all tastes there! Also included a couple of albums that didn't come out this year that I either found out about only recently, or that I knew of but hadn't listen to in their entirety. It's all good, I think! Give them a go and may the next year fair us all a bit better.

as this year comes to a close, here’s the annual holiday cover, this time I chose the song Shadow In The Frame by Daniel Rossen. Daniel’s album You Belong There has been very important to me and kept me really vital company in difficult times lately. I did the best I could to capture just a tiny fraction of the incredible mastery in the original which you have to check out to tend to your soul, really.

Huge thanks to my friends and roommates Dimitris Oikonomou and Ιασονας Οικονομου for helping me out with providing drums and bass, and for being there for me in general. I love you and thank you very much.

Hope this year brings better things to all and most importantly a permanent ceasefire to this unspeakable genocide happening at the moment.

Hey all,

2022 wraps to a close in a few hours, and once again, among other things, I'm thinking about musical highlights that stuck with me through the year, either accompanying me through the good moments, but especially keeping me out of trouble in the bad ones, or providing a bit of fresh perspective when I was feeling emotionally or creatively stuck (yes, I have been making music haha).

So without further ado, here's a list of many of the 2022 albums that I highlighted this year. Also included a couple of 2021 albums that I didn't have time time to check out then (I'm slow) and albums from previous years that I just discovered (I'm very slow).

Feel free to check them out, I truly think there are great musics out there and this is only a tiny fraction of it so stay curious and have happy new year!

Another year has gone by, many things happened, some great and some not so great to be honest. But it's Christmas again and I somehow managed to not miss this year's cover which I frantically recorded and edited yesterday! It's a song that started keeping me company again after a long time of not having heard it and it helped me through stuff so I thought I'd sing it! Here's Scheherazade by my favourite panda bear, Panda Bear!

This was yet another tough year for everybody for all the known reasons, and what little consolation I found on my alone time, I partly owe to the new music I discovered through the year. It helped navigate through the s**t and also made me even happier during the good parts. So now I'm sharing it with you! Here some albums that came out in 2021 that I really enjoyed, in no particular order. Very happy that some of them were made by close friends and collaborators!
Also, some bonus albums that are older but I was late to the party and I just discovered this year.

I ended up spending the last portion of the year at my dad's village again, where I set up all of my music stuff and practiced and recorded things. One of them was this Deerhoof cover, which I also shot on video for yet another holiday present that nobody asked for, just like I did last year. Maybe doing this twice in a row implies a tradition starting? No idea. Anyway, my love for Deerhoof isn't exactly a secret, and they've made me happy in times when I wasn't plus they're incredible either way so it's not a surprise to me that I gravitate towards them often. Check out their new record (off of which this cover is taken), it's amazing!

Hey everybody! New Foken account here, since the old one has been wiped for reasons unknown. I spent a month and a half at the village doing stuff. I’ve been slowly making songs that will probably end up on a new Foken album at some point! Here’s my setup for these sessions. It went pretty well! Stick around for more :)

next week, on Friday the 5th, I will be releasing Familiar Face. It is an album comprised of live tracks taken from the first two and only live band Foken performances that happened in 2020 before the pandemic hit. It also features two previously unreleased tracks from the Delfon sessions. The album will only be available via Bandcamp.

This year I spent a big part of my quarantine time at this village called Siatista where my dad was born and lives now. I set up my instruments, practiced drums and hung out with various animals. Before I left in October I recorded this Fleet Foxes cover to practice my recording/editing. But I thought it turned out pretty alright so here it is as little Christmas gift no one really asked for!
