Outdoor Medical Cannabis Update 9/29/20

We use the "Ruth Stout System" of permanent hay mulching. Ruth Stout's no-work gardening method is simply to keep a thick mulch of any organic matter on plants all year round. As it decays and enriches the soil, add more. The labor-saving part of this system is that there is less irrigating required and you never haft to till the potting soil, sow a cover crop, w**d, or spray. Also, there is no need to go through the time consuming business of building a compost pile because the mulch is quick-composting right on the surface of the soil. The composting mulch attracts earth worms which till the potting soil for us, providing better drainage and more oxygen while at the same time depositing free worm castings (NPK rating: 5.5.3) and beneficial organisms.
Infrastructure
We use 12 one hundred gallon fabric pots,150 feet of 6 foot high welded wire fencing (for training and support), and 1,200 gallons of homemade potting soil.
Inputs
We use hay mulch applied once per growing season and we also top dress using glacial rock powder and neem seed meal every 30 days throughout the growing season.
Advantages of the Ruth Stout System
• No need to purchase expensive potting soil with reusable potting soil
• No need to purchase expensive organic fertilizers
• The mulch retains moisture, which reduces irrigation needs by 25%
• No machinery needed
• Everything is returned to the soil
• Few inputs: 3 forty pound square hay bales purchased and applied every fall ($15 per growing season), glacial rock powder (50 pound bag $40 per growing season), organic neem seed meal (40 pound bag $60 per growing season), and seeds
• And, above all, The Ruth Stout System gives great results with less time and work required!
Less time and physical effort are needed because:
• No tilling soil
• No digging soil
• No weekly application of organic fertilizers
• No ground cover to plant
• No w**ding
• Less watering
• No spraying
• and No compost to make

Cannabis: Made By Nature is an online, information-based group promoting a better quality of life through the sensible use of medical ma*****na. Our goal is to educate people about the medicinal benefits of cannabis through a media platform and encourage them to seek out the best quality of life they can. Many Americans are already sick, and many of the medications physicians prescribe have side-effects that have the potential to harm more than heal. Our mission at Cannabis: Made By Nature is to spotlight the medicinal research that is available, as well as feature some of the physicians and scientists doing their research, and let the patients speak for themselves about the medicinal benefits of medical ma*****na, in all its forms. We are an information-based company, helping patients find a better quality of life through education and science.
