💞Road trip to Grandfolks BC!!💞

Ayumi went to Grandfolks BC this weekend..... for visiting her sister in the Lord!!
It was 5 hour drive from the place where we live!! 🚙

She stopped some bakeries on the way....tried some sweets and goodies!

The poplar butter tart which is in the picture (Ayumi brought it home for me!!).... is really champion!! Taste really good!!

Ayumi had a great time/fellowship in Grandfolks!!

❤️Chocolate Chip Zuccini Muffins & Norwegian Raisin Beer Bread!! ❤️

Ayumi made Muffins with Gluten-free and limited sugar for her friends.
She put in ....not only Zucchini and Chocolate..but also Bananas and Carrots. 🥕....healthier as possible!!

This Raisin Bread...taste like Whole Wheat Raisin Bread......does not taste like beer at all!! 😬.. Delicious!!

She wants to try more international Classics Bread to bake!!

🧡Weather gets cool a bit this weekend!🧡

Last week was warm here where we live 25-30°C....but this weekend is a bit cooler and raining. ☔

Our spinach and the other greens are happy to get bigger in these cool days!!
We have to catch up with eating them!!
Crying with joy!❤️😭

When nights are cold for veggies...we turn on tge heater for them.

So far, they are nicely growing.

We had Asparagus from local farmer!!
They are so soft and delicious.😋

Ayumi was hungry...so she was eating some of them in the car on the way home!!

We got a recipe from the farmer....


We are going to make this salada for supper again!!
Ayumi doesn't eat tomatos 🍅 and cheese much...so we omit them..
It is great recipe!!

Peas, parsley and Kohlrabi....are growing now!!
Kohlrabi were not growing well last week.....because of cold weather at nights.
They are catching up now!! Hallelujah 🙌.

This Italian parsley....they are strong in a bit cold weather!!
I put them in the soup today!!

Kohlrabi leaves are such a nutritious.
Our dog loves it!!🐕‍🦺😅
We have to keep her away from the garden.

Something is starting blooming or shooting every day in our garden!!

We just find out that....Raspberries are starting shooting from branches and ground. 🍓 🍓 🍓
We got them from our friend's yard last year.....they were so yummy when we ate them!!

Our fruit trees are still young....so we are hoping some Raspberries and some plums are comming this year!! 🫒🫒🫒

These tiny purple flowers...we think they are Iris...but we are not sure. 💮

We just harvested Red Radishes!!
They are still small...but their heads are out of soil..... So we decided to taste them!!

We planted many of them....they will be bigger tomorrow!!

It is wonderful to have fresh veggies in Breakfast!!

🧡We palnted Sweet Potatos !!🍠🧡

We bought three seedings of Sweet Potatos 🍠....and planted in our garden!!

We couldn't have Sweet Potatos last year...because of sold-out so quickly in the store.
This year we got them!!

They need warmer weather...above 15°C....so we have to cover them with plastics for keeping them warm at night!!

Hope they grow and harvest well!! 🙏🙏🙏

We are slowly harvesting our greens!!
Not much...but enough for putting into sandwiches for lunch every day!!
Hallelujah!!

We do some Japanese greens every year....like Mizuna, Komatsuna and Tokyo Bekana.

Ayumi said that.... they are pretty poplar greens in Japan.....for soup or pot!!
I love eating them for everything!!.. as salada or soup..etc.

We love gardening of totally organic!!

🧡Senior Centre Bible Study on Thursdays!! 🧡

The Bible study was cancelled.....last 2 weeks.
All ladies miss each other and also hungry for studying the Word of God!!

Ayumi is off work and join the Bible study this week!! She is sooooooo happy to join them.😄

They started studying...

-God said He would punish the world but He promised to save Noah and all who entered the ark.

This chapter is very long....it will take a couple of weeks to be completed.

They red and studied Genesis Chapter 5 and Jude 14-15.

It is getting pretty warm at day time.... here where we live.

We have a lot of tulips popping up in our yard...and our very first ones is blooming now!!

Ayumi likes tulips 🌷 very much!!
We got many of free bulbs last year and buried them into the ground before snow hit.
Now boomling!!
We did nothing...just planted the bulbs in the soil!!

💛Raisin-Rum Loaf🥃!! 💛

Ayumi made Raisin-Rum Loaf!!
She said... 1/4 cup of Rum and 1/4 cup of Raisin were used for this bread!!

We love love love Raisin Bread for breakfast 🥣 and.. also for snack!!

It doesn't taste Rum....just taste like delicious Raisin bread!! 😋

🧡I call this dish.....Japanese Style Teriyaki Beef Stew!!🧡

The real name of this dish is.......very poplar food in Japan and loved by Japanese people for long time!!

When I ate this food first time when Ayumi made.....taste like beef stew in teriyaki taste.

ONLY Soy sauce, sugar, sake, sesame oil....are used as Seasonings, but she wants to make it healthier...so she uses apple instead of sugar!!😲😳
It is kinda sugar-free food!!
Simple but why so delicious!!

Our kitties and puppies love it too!!🐱🐶🦝

Our dog was soooooo excited for going for small hike!!
Ayumi is having a bit pain on her right leg...so we decided to go easy walk!!

There are....
many yellow lilies were blooming everywhere on the trail.
Are they wild lilies?? We googled and found lilies are usually poisonous.
Mulleins are also started growing in this season!!
