Hope everyone is having a good Christmas!

Just a business update that I’m still closed and not taking any orders.

As you’ve probably seen from countless other businesses and bakers, with the cost of everything, its just not worth being open (especially to do cakes) as the prices of everything has sky rocketed. I hardly turn my oven on these days!

On top of that i’m enjoying being a mum so all of my time is being spent chasing a toddler around the house 😂

Next year, we should be starting some house renovations which will massively improve my ability to work so we have that to look forward to 🥰

Hopefully I’ll be back in 2024, lets see how the economy is 😂 I might be cooking on a campfire at this rate!

Bakey's Emporium updated their website address.

A little business update...

I've spent a little bit of time working on a care guide and allergy, colours, inedible etc information printables and.... they are now available to purchase from my etsy store! 🥳

I’ve seen some people prefer to print their own or don’t want to buy a ton of leaflets, especially if they only do occasional orders. It also takes the stress of writing up your own information cards!

There are separate ones for storage types (fridge and room temperature) They are also generic so they can be used for any of your baked goodies!

Although they are based for UK customers (as it has colouring information on them) You could use them still if you are not from the UK.

They come in a set of A4, A5 and A6 PDFs. I currently have pink, grey/marble and purple available but I'm working on some other colours.

If you are or know someone who bakes commercially or maybe someone who requires information like this for a bake (eg. wedding venues sometimes ask for this information for a wedding cake, even if you're a hobby baker) then please send them my way!

👨 Availability update! 👨

Although i’ve not advertised for Fathers day this year I do have limited space for cupcakes for delivery on Saturday next week! (Last bookings Wednesday at the latest)

Otherwise my next free space for whole cakes is from 4th July!

I might be able to squeeze some small extra orders in though so do enquire still if you need anything baked 🥰

Then and now, i’ve come a long way since then! 😱

I’m so glad instagram and youtube are thing now, cake decorating is so much more of an art form than it used be! 🥰

And I still remember making those blue cupcakes, they were lemon with a lemon curd centre. I’d never used a plunger cutter (the stars) before either 😂

I wonder what my cupcakes will look like 10 years from now 🤔

Yesterday, I had the honour of creating my first ever wedding cake for my sister in law and now brother in law, Kerry and Daniel! ❤️

Why do our cakes taste so good?

✅ Proper butter! No margarine thank you!

✅ Free range eggs! and where possible I’ll try to find ingredients that have eggs already in them to be free range too.

✅ Each bespoke cake is individually made to order, as fresh as it can get it!

Disclaimer: All free range chickens are currently being kept in barns to protect them from bird flu. Meaning that all free range eggs are currently classed as barn eggs until they can go outside again.
