It was definitely an outer body experience. Performing in front of people is something I've always loved to do but not having done it in almost 2 years made this show extra scary and it was packed full of people.. Not going to lie, I was so nervous the first few songs and my leg wouldn't stop shaking. Luckily I play with the greatest musicians which calmed my nerves eventually. I can't wait for the next live show and hope they come soon!

Please check out California Trout's new documentary "No Going Back" directed by Keith Brauneis Productions. I scored the film and it's probably one of my favorite film scores. I'm honored to be a part of this project and I hope you enjoy it.
Film Synopsis
Creating Fish Abundance.
40% of the Earth's land surface is agricultural - either row crops or pastures. In California's Central Valley, we've lost 95% of wetlands and floodplain forests. We've effectively conquered the landscape. And the fish have suffered. The Central Valley's wild salmon are endangered, some on the verge of extinction.
But what if we could create fish abundance in this altered agricultural landscape?
That's the question CalTrout's Central Valley Senior Scientist Jacob Katz posed...and the results were amazing.
Now we’re putting that science into action. The Nigiri Project started as a mud muddle experiment in the corner of a rice field and is now shaping water management over tens of thousands of acres of the Central Valley.
The Nigiri Project shows that California's floodplains can work for both fish AND farms. This is how we achieve fish abundance on a managed landscape. These are management solutions for fish, water, and people.

Tonight my wife and I had the pleasure of attending the first screening of Deaners - the Movie Directed by David Garry. It's a short documentary about the fans of James Dean and the annual festival they hold in Fairmount, Indiana. I had the honor of composing the music for the film. Working with David on the score was really great and I admire his passion and hard work. It really shows in this amazing documentary. It's been submitted to several film festivals so fingers crossed it gets accepted.
