4-MINUTE MAKEUP!
I don't know about you, but I'm happy when my makeup is done and ready to go in less time than it takes for me to get my butt out of bed. HAHA!
Seriously, this is a basic makeup routine that can be done quickly. Not only because it's simple, but also because it's in ONE COMPACT! No more digging around in your bathroom drawer because the blush is lost or your lip balm got lost in the back of your drawer somewhere.
Keep it simple with the routine below.
1. Primer-keeps the makeup in place.
2. Contour-adds shadows and dimension
3. Foundation-covers blemishes and evens out skin tone
4. Highlighter-brings out your cheekbones and the center of your face
5. Blush-a dash of color
6. Blend-the magic of cream makeup, blend to perfection
7. Lip balm-a little shine on your lips.
8. Set-so it stays put all day.

It’s easy to think you aren’t beautiful without makeup. I think this is especially true as we age and our skin is less smooth, has discoloration, scars, wrinkles and whatnot.
But what if we prescribed to the idea that beauty has more than one look?
What if we accepted our faces as beautiful both with and without makeup?
Are you like me and scared to embrace this idea? For almost 10 years I have been unwilling to go out of the house without makeup on. I was embarrassed by my skin discoloration from melasma and the unevenness of my skin tone.
How weird is it that the summer I become a makeup artist I start to value my skin without it? Haha!
Does my uneven skin make me ugly? NO
Am I imperfectly made and beautifully so? YES!
Can I second-guess that over and over because our society has determined women must be perfect at all time?
YEP.
It’s hard to accept that beauty is beyond the glamorous faces that are thrown at us day after day.
This is just a reminder that makeup is fun and can increase our confidence, but it isn’t what makes you beautiful.
You are beautiful because you are the only YOU in the whole world. God made you unique and special.
Show up as YOU no matter what’s on your face because you’re GORGEOUS!! 😍

Getting your eyes to pop and your eyeshadow to be visible when you have hooded eyes just takes a couple of simple tricks.
1. Curl your eyelashes with a warm eyelash curler.
2. Use at least 2 coats of mascara.
3. Put your eyeliner under the eyelashes instead of on top of your eyelid.
4. Use an eyeshadow that is a shade darker than your skin tone. Keeping your eyes open, place the color above the crease, closer to the brow bone making a windshield wiper motion.
5. Apply a dark color in the shape of a ‘v’ on the outer corner of your eyelid. Make sure that it sweeps up and away towards your eyebrow.
6. Use a shiny/shimmer eyeshadow to draw attention to the middle of your eye.
7. Use your brightening highlight to lighten the inner corner of the eye.
8. Add a midtone color as an eyeliner on the bottom lash line, just the outer 1/4.

I used four colors for this look and it took me 5 minutes!
Cream makeup has such a dewy finish and when all of your products are cream it blends together beautifully!
Here is what I used:
Contour-designed to sculpt and add dimension to your face
Brightening highlight-to draw attention to the center of your face, eyes, and top of your cheekbones.
Main highlight (foundation)- to cover distractions, brighten and smooth your skin tone.
Lip/cheek-to add color to lips and cheeks
I blended these colors with my blush brush and set it with setting spray.
The final result? Skin is glowing, distractions are covered and I feel confident stepping out their door.

Color correcting my melasma with "mango" highlight. First pic-no makeup, second pic with "mango" on my melasma, and third pic with my main highlight "June" on top of the "mango".
