The weekend is here so make plans to visit the Historic 1852 Isaiah Snuggs House on Sunday afternoon. Special guest will be musician and 18th century living history interpreter, A.J. Bennett. He will share stories and music. A.J. is a graduate of Appalachian State University and teaches history at South Stanly High School. A.J. plays mandolin, banjo, guitar and fiddle. Bring the family and enjoy a short live performance at 3:00 or 4:00.
Playing a show at the historic Snuggs House in Albemarle this Saturday, May 15th! I'll be playing traditional songs and tunes in a bluegrass and country style. Seating on the lawn is limited to 50 people, and regiatration and more information is available at historicstanly.org. The concert will be live streamed by the Stanly County Historical Society. Come on by or tune in for an evening of pickin' on the porch!

In addition to playing country, bluegrass, acoustic pop, Americana, classic rock, and whatever else I feel like playing, sometimes I time travel to the 18th century for a bit of fiddling and gourd banjar playing. Playing my first solo gig in a while this Friday at the MOD in Midtown Mooresville from 6-8. If you're around that area come on out! Tell your Mooresville/Statesville/Charlotte area friends too. There's gonna be good refreshments for purchase and a food truck, and I'm pretty sure it's all outside. I'm looking forward to playing for a crowd again!
