I had so much fun today! Huge thank you to Street Food Saturdays for inviting us to Old Town Columbus Fall Festival . It was a great first market in Georgia experience.
Funny little story about this sign im making for this Saturday.
Initially, I only planned to add the bottom three signs until I was talking to a friend who said, "Don't forget to let people know it's a woman, veteran, and Indigenous owned business!" I told her I always feel weird mentioning those things. I think it’s because I took Kendrick Lamar's advice to heart. Anyway, it took a little convincing, but I ended up doing it.
Fast forward to today: I sent this to my husband, telling him I just needed to finish sanding and routing the corners. Then I thought, WAIT... AM I A VETERAN?! No one likes stolen valor, so I asked him, and he said, "Well, yeah." I asked, "Are you?" and he replied, "Well, yeah." I wondered, "What even is a veteran?" It turns out a veteran is someone who has served honorably on active duty in the Armed Forces of the United States. So, there you have it, folks—we're a bona fide woman, veteran, and Indigenous owned business.
Side note: Isn't it funny that I have never considered myself a veteran? 🤣 I've only been in for 13 years🥴

47 seconds... that's how long it take a toddler to wreck havoc. Probably shorter than that, actually.
I'll post a better video tomorrow but these are so cool! I can't wait to show you what they look like when they're finished.
