Beautiful in the fall - and year round, in my opinion!

Enjoy the sunset from our hot tub!
Sunsets in the Smokies don't disappoint! Caught this one a little early. Watch the sun go down from the hot tub!
Our top deck is a relaxing oasis with a double rocker off the sliding glass door of each bedroom and a hammock in the middle. Watch the sunset or take a nap!
Enjoy a moonshine tasting while you're visiting!
It's so peaceful watching the sun set on the mountains!
The hike to Rainbow Falls is one of our favorites! It's a 5.4 mile round trip. The 80 ft waterfall is absolutely spectacular and is the tallest single-drop waterfall in the Smoky Mountain National Park. It's a great place for a picnic! The trail is rocky and uneven in many places so make sure you wear good hiking shoes. Bears are sometimes active in this area and we did once see a mama bear with cubs on this hike. If you see bears, it's important to give them their space.

The Gatlinburg SkyBridge is the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America and features a glass bottom at the highest point, which can be a bit unnerving! The views are absolutely stunning!

It's estimated that there are about 1900 black bears living in the Smoky Mountain National Park. You may very well see one on your visit. It is important if you see a bear that you give it space...do not approach the bear. Do not leave food in your car and make sure all doors are locked. Bears have been known to open car doors! This site has great information on what to do if you come across a bear. The bear in this picture we saw on the side of the road as we were driving to town.

Chesapeakes is wonderful for a special dinner but you will definitely want to make a reservation! Ask for a table overlooking the river.
Walk behind the waterfall!
Our upstairs deck is a great place to relax! Take a nap, read a book or just hang out with family or friends!

The Chimney Tops trail is one of our favorites to hike. It's about 4 miles round trip and is steep with spectacular views. It was closed for about a year after the big fire in 2016. The summit of the trail was still closed the last time we hiked it, due to the damage done by the fire. But the views at the new overlook are still gorgeous. You can learn more about what happened in the fire here -> https://www.thesmokies.com/chimney-tops-trail/
