Rushville v. Beech Grove Sectional update 10/5/23

The Lady Lions traveled to Beech Grove to play in a neutral playoff game in second round sectional and lost 3-5. Rushville went into the second half down 0-3. All goals were scored for the Lady Lions in the second half. The first goal was scored from a penalty kick by sophomore Carly Senour. The second goal also came from Senour. With 12 seconds left in the game, junior Railyn Combs scored with an assist from Senour. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 18 saves tonight for the Lady Lions. Rushville's defense held Beech Grove for 3 offside calls. Shots on goal for Rushville included: Senour (4), Combs (3), junior Lily Warner (3), freshman Izzy Simmermon (1), and freshman McKenna Norris (1).

Game ball winners were: McKenna Norris, Lily Warner, and Carly Senour. We also had a guest appearance from DJ Bow 🎶🎤

Rushville v. New Castle update 9-28-23

Rushville traveled to New Castle and ended their final regulation game in a draw 0-0. Shots on goal for the Lady Lions include: junior Railyn Combs (2), junior Karma Wilson (2), junior Lily Warner (2), sophomore Carly Senour (2), and junior captain Brooke Means. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 10 saves for Rushville. The defensive line held New Castle for 9 offside calls.

Rushville travels to Beech Grove Thursday and plays in the 7pm game against Beech Grove for sectional.

Game ball winners are: Kylie Gray, Alayna Miller, and Chloe Pickett!

Rushville vs. Wapahani 9-25-23 update:

The Lady Lions hosted Wapahani and lost 9-0.
Shots on goal for Rushville were from senior captain Kylie Gray (2), junior Karma Wilson (1), junior Railyn Combs (1), and freshman McKenna Norris (1). Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 15 saves for Rushville. The defensive line held Wapahani for 4 offside calls.

The Lady Lions honored seniors from both Wapahani and Rushville this evening. Seniors from Rushville are captains Lilly Bow and Kylie Gray. Rushville travels to New Castle Thursday with a 6:30pm start time.

9-23-23 Beech Grove vs. Rushville girls soccer

Rushville traveled to Beech Grove Saturday and lost 1-0 in a hard fought game. Shots on goal for the Lady Lions included: junior Railyn Combs (3), junior captain Brooke Means (3), freshman McKenna Norris (2), and freshman Lileigh Combs (1). Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 16 saves for Rushville, including an impressive save from the bottom corner of the goal off of a PK shot from Beech Grove. Rushville's defensive line held Beech Grove for 2 offside calls.

Better late than never is my motto! Forgot we took these pictures from Homecoming! We had royalty on court from our girls soccer team! Congrats to freshman McKenna Norris! Our band girls also had a STELLAR performance at halftime as always! There is more to life than soccer...and it's so great to watch these girls flourish in ALL of the activities they love!

Rushville vs. South Dearborn 9-19-23

Rushville played South Dearborn tonight at home and lost 9-0. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 19 saves for the Lady Lions. Rushville's defensive line had 4 offside calls.

The Lady Lions play again Saturday on the road at Beech Grove with a 10am kickoff.

Game ball winners were: Elle James, Chloe Pickett, and Izzy Simmermon!

Rushville v. Greensburg update 9/16/23 -

Rushville was defeated on the road 7-1 by Greensburg on Saturday. The lone goal by the Lady Lions came from junior Railyn Combs in the second half with an assist from senior captain Kylie Gray. Combs led Rushville in shots on goal with 3. Sophomore Chloe Pickett and freshman McKenna Norris each had 1 shot on goal for the game. Rushville's defensive line held Greensburg for 8 offside calls. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 17 saves. Rushville girls play again at home Tuesday against South Dearborn with kickoff at 5:30pm.

9-13-23 Update vs. East Central

The Lady Lions traveled to East Central and lost to the Lady Trojans 13-0. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 20 saves for Rushville. The Lady Lions' defensive line held the Lady Trojans for 15 offside calls. Rushville girls and boys travel to Greensburg Saturday September 16 for the annual Battle of the Ball. Girls will play at 10am and the boys will kick off at 12pm.

Knightstown v. Rushville update 9/11/23

The Lady Lions traveled to Knightstown and tied 1-1. Rushville was down at the half 1-0. The line goal in the second half was scored by sophomore Carly Senour off of a breakaway through Knightstown's defense. Senour was the leader of shots on goal for the Lady Lions, ending the night with 6 in total. Other shots on goals for Rushville included: junior Railyn Combs (3), freshman Alayna Miller (2), and junior captain Brooke Means (1). Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 16 saves for the evening. Rushville's defensive line held Knightstown for 6 offside calls. The Lady Lions travel to East Central on Wednesday for a 5pm kickoff time and also travel to Greensburg Saturday for the annual Battle for the Ball game. The girls will play at 10am followed by the boys who will play at 12pm.

Lawrenceburg v. Rushville update 9/6/23 -

The Lady Lions lost on the road to the Lady Tigers 10-0. Freshman keeper Khloe Makofka had 7 saves for Rushville. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 5 saves. Lady Lions' defensive line held Lawrenceburg for 7 offside calls. Rushville boys and girls play a double header tomorrow September 6 at home. The boys play Morristown at 5:30pm and the girls play Oldenburg following at 7pm.

Connersville vs. Rushville update - 9/5/23

The Lady Lions were defeated by the Lady Spartans 9-0. Shots on goal for Rushville included junior captain Brooke Means (2), junior Railyn Combs (1), and freshman McKenna Norris (1). Rushville defensive line held Connersville for 4 offside calls. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 8 saves and freshman keeper Khloe Makofka had 4 saves for Rushville.

The Lady Lions would like to thank the community for coming out and supporting our cause for our 3rd Annual SPARC and Su***de Prevention game in memory of Zora Allstatter. We also would like to thank the City of Rushville who lit up the fountain at the park in su***de prevention colors today as well as the Elk's for sponsoring our purple game shirts and socks. Thank you to our loyal fans and Rushville community for helping us with another fantastic evening to raise money for a great cause. The money raised will benefit SPARC and the Zora Allstatter Memorial Scholarship.

8/31/23 - Muncie Central v. Rushville

The Lady Lions came home with a tough road loss against the Muncie Central Bearcats 2-1. The lone goal scored for Rushville was from sophomore Carly Senour. Senour led the Lady Lions in shots on goal with 5. Other shots on goal by Rushville were: junior Railyn Combs (3), freshman McKenna Norris (2), freshman Alayna Miller (1), and junior Kelley Stanley (1). The Lady Lions defensive line held the Bearcats for 9 offside calls. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 15 saves for Rushville.

The Lady Lions play again Tuesday Sept. 5 at home for the 3rd annual SPARC (Su***de Prevention & Awareness Rush County) benefit game. Fans can join Rushville at 5:15pm for guest speaker Drew Hahn from SPARC. Kick off will be at 5:30pm. During halftime, guest Michelle Allstatter will speak. Proceeds raised at this game will benefit SPARC and the Zora Allstatter Memorial Scholarship.

The defensive line held Triton Central for 7 offside calls. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 16 saves for the Lady Lions including a save from a penalty kick during the second half.

The Lady Lions travel to Muncie Central Thursday with a 6pm start time.

8/22/23 - Union County v. Rushville

The Lady Lions defeated the Lady Patriots 4-1 in tonight's boys and girls double header. Two goals were scored in the first half for Rushville, both shot by junior Railyn Combs both with assists from senior captain Kylie Gray. In the second half, Combs secured her third goal and hat trick with an assist from sophomore Carly Senour. The final goal was scored by Senour.

Shots on goal for the Lady Lions included: Senour (8), Combs (7), junior captain Brooke Means (3), Gray (3), and freshman Alayna Miller (1). Rushville held Union County for 7 offside calls. Junior keeper Kyleigh Glandon had 6 saves for Rushville.

The Lady Lions and Lions soccer teams honored athletes from Optimist, Rush County Youth Soccer League, and BRMS tonight at Youth Night between games. Rushville girls soccer plays again Thursdsy night at home against Oldenburg with a changed game time of 7pm due to expected heat.
