What are you most excited about?

📣 Missed last week’s Instagram updates? Here’s what’s new:

1. A whole new way to search through hashtags! You aren’t limited to top posts anymore and you can filter which content you are looking for✨

2. Reels is upgrading! Instagram is testing out 3-minute Reels, showing us storytelling and long-form content will be so important in 2024. They also are introducing Spin, which is very similar to TikTok’s duet function. Spins allow users to remix their reels, giving users the ability to respond to them, add new audio and text, and most importantly, reach a much wider audience 😍

3. Ready for even longer carousels? We are! Instagram is testing allowing you to post 15 pictures to carousels as well as allowing users to comment on specific photos with the carousel. Now you can call out your favourite pictures way easier 📸

With 2024 around the corner (where has the year gone??), one of our goals for the New Year is to take more content in our day-to-day lives. If we’ve learnt anything this year, it’s that relatable organic content is KING on social media.

This means we don’t always have to focus on filming the “perfect” shots, instead we’ll capture the everyday moments in our lives.

HOWEVER, there is a time and place for professionally curated/edited content (especially for platforms outside of social), but we’ll be welcoming a more casual approach to content in 2024🤍
