Kids--and adults for that matter-- who learn a musical instrument have a healthy perspective on life, as I see it! Concerning the development of the brain at young ages, the visual, mathematical, social, and academic values of music education give students a boost in relationships, seeing “the whole”, performing to a communicated standard, working toward a goal, and the accomplishment of finishing. The collaborative efforts of parents in this is invaluable, and the development of “grit” and focus for a student is a life-long, useful, and transitional skill.
Allow yourself, or your student, to follow interests into musical learning---a place of joy and expression in a journey that realistically, could be a life-long pursuit, bringing pleasure and camaraderie, encouragement and fun!
The joy of music....that is the goal of Studio13! Start early :-)
