About Confessional: James is a devout Catholic. He has lived his life by the book. He has been a faithful husband, a strong father, and a hard worker. Now facing down the barrel of middle-age, and growing more detached in his marriage, he has begun to wrestle with emotions he never imagined having to deal with. James has started to realize that he is attracted to members of the same s*x. After one fateful night, in which James decides to hook up with another man he meets at a gay club, he goes to confession for guidance on how to reconcile these feelings with the life he has alread made for himself. As of today, it’s been 6 weeks since the premiere of Legend Of El Cucuy at the Los Angles Latino Intl. Film Festival.
And, next week we’re about to enthusiastically do it all over again for the Micheaux Film Fest 2023!
In the meantime though, here we have my entourage of family & friends who came to the LALIFF premiere just for me, I’m a very lucky GUY!

BTS from a little bit ago, when I was cast as a “Mural Painting, Owner of a Pet Grooming Shop with Severe Allergies”.
The doggies were soooo adorable, but having the production team trying to perfectly splatter paint on my wardrobe while I was wearing it was hilarious!

Such a fun job! And, cleaning up was super easy as you can see.

Well, as one can see by the various looks on my face I was delightedly confused & awkwardly overjoyed at being back on set for a recent shoot. The safety procedures were above and beyond, so that was wonderful.

However, the moment my personal hair/makeup stylist for the day had to hack away at my hair to reveal ears & a neck was equally embarrassing & liberating. And, just like that we’re back... maybe???

This may sound vain, but I MISS the Hair, Makeup & Wardrobe depts. and Camera, Lighting & Sound crews! Because as much as I am grateful for the ability to work over apps, being your own lighting/sound/hair/makeup/wardrobe/IT/director is not easy.

And there is nothing like the magic created by the hardworking people of a production team; these artists transform me from to so effortlessly that sometimes I forget if I’m a or a — Dreaming of the days we’ll all be back on set!
